The Florida Marijuana Grow House Eradication Act PASSED

Sorry to say that this bill has passed and is awaiting the signature of Charlie Christ. This is going to put a lot of small time personal growers away for a long time :fsu:

Also while we're on the subject of Florida...just read about operation D-Day. Over 150 grow houses busted this week. Isn't it funny...new digital power meters throughout Florida and now, months later....hundreds of sweeps on "suspected" grow houses (many turning up nothing).

I don't know man...you guys in FL better watch your asses. HIDTA is coming for ya! :cuss:

Yeah it's some bullshit man. Go to that Florida D-Day thread, I quoted the changes that will be made. Instead of 300 plants for a 3rd degree felony, it'll now be only 25. Personally, I'll never get anywhere near 25 plants (at least not in my current location). But still, just the fact that this can pass while there are so many other pressing needs in FL is ridiculous. Murders and violent crime has jumped more than 300% in the last few years here in Orlando. Property taxes are out of control, insurance prices are out of control, overdevelopment is rampant...Yet, they're using my tax money to cut down on grow houses & rip up plants that do nothing other than bring peace and mellowness to the user. I'm so proud to be an Floridian.

135 people was arrested yesterday state wide for growing weed. please some one tell me how the can arrest that many in one day. That would take one hell of a snitch.

quote from paper below
"The arrests were among at least 135 arrests statewide in 48 counties, the Associated Press reported. The raids, code named "Operation D-Day," netted an estimated $41 million in pot plants."

MAN so much for retiring to Flordia huh, you would think with all the old people there, that are always sick, that Flordia would one of the leading states to be passing medical use acts. Reading this thread makes me really sad, I was hoping that in the next decade we may have had a chance for it to finially be legalized federally, sure isn't looking that way is it at least in Florida that is.

Florida is a conservative haven. Everything is backwards out here. Politicians and officials are crooked, nothing gets done because no one wants to get taxed even though we don't have a state income tax, etc. Yet for some reason, I can't see myself living in any other state...besides Cali of course. :rasta:

just another way for them to make money

just another way for them to make money

this pisses me off to no end. these fucking scum want to bust everybody they can. i understand that large grow houses are nothing more than cash crops and some create violence. dont the fucking shitheads understand that if it were legal, there would be nothing to fight over? this only adds to my hate for our government.

the new law calls for penalties at a third degree felony for 25 plants or more. you know what this means my fellow floridians? extended veg periods, no more sea of green. im right under the limit now. and i will stay that way after hearing of this. big plants are more fun anyway. stay safe guys and remember rule number one.

I'm not sure where you guys heard this 3rd degree felony stuff. I read in the Tampa Tribune that after July 1st if you get caught with 25 or more cannabis plant they consider you a for profit grower and will charge you with trafficing w/15 year penalty.
