The Feds are on a fucking mad tear they have raided multipole clinics the last couple weeks shutting down 36 and charging the owner of 3G Holistic in Upland CA with federal charges including manufacturing and Conspiracy. And they cannot use medical as a defense it is federal charges. They are driving around in Range Rovers brand new pimped out like thugs arresting patience.http://blogs.laweekly.com/informer/2...ckdown_fbi.php The ones that did not shut down where raided by the DEA. http://blogs.laweekly.com/informer/2..._pot_shops.php They started in San Diego and have worked there way up.

Naw that would would be in defiance of congress who has to approve laws passed in the district. Besides CA has more medical mj money floating around to be stolen than DC does. I wrote a sucessful app for the district and now they are finally getting around to letting us get started. I bet they will drag there feet for another couple years before it actually starts making money...then they'll start busting it up.

No, they got it in the bank, and when you have more than a mill or so in there, just a guess. They get to figuring its crossed the compassion mmj side to the money greed side, no matter if paying taxes, licenses, fees, etc. Most all those places when they get to disclosing the bank funds, there is usually quite a pile. Not saying its right, but looks like keeping full disclosure is a double edged sword if not a small mom pop kind of deal, IMO

Federal authorities today announced a crackdown on 36 medical marijuana dispensaries in Los Angeles County, including raids on two shops in Santa Fe Springs and warning letters to 34 businesses and property owners.

Interestingly, the actions did not involve any pot shops in the city of Los Angeles.

Rather, feds sought to shut out all of the known cannabis collectives in the following cities and communities:

Santa Fe Springs, Whittier, South El Monte, La Mirada, Diamond Bar, Artesia, Paramount, South Gate, City of Commerce, Agoura Hills and Malibu.

Search-warrant-enabled raids were conducted this morning at Tri-City Patient's Association and the Canna-America Collective (a.k.a. Organic Way Collective) on Rosecrans Avenue in Santa Fe Springs, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office in L.A.

Those two shops were also hit with federal civil asset forfeiture lawsuits. In other words, Uncle Sam is taking their weed.

A store on Telegraph road was told to shut down by the city as well, the feds noted.

The 34 that received warning letters will have to abandon ship, according to the office:

The warning letters give the operators and landlords 14 days to come into compliance with federal law or risk potential civil or criminal actions.

In case you're wondering, yes, this is part of that federal crackdown on pot shops in California that has so far seen 220 dispensaries targeted in the U.S. Attorney's Central District of the state alone.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says " ... the majority of those stores are now closed ... "

Wasn't there a federal judge that just ruled they can't take properties if they're in compliance with state law??

I believe you are refering to the harborside case vs the landlord.....if the feds want to take the property....the law is on their side....nothing stoping them really.....the ruling in the harborside case was against the landlord.....they cant evict harborside....but the feds can still seize the property.....it really screws the landlord....because they cant cure their problem with the feds........IMHO that building is going to get seized and harborside is going down.....just a matter of time......hope I am wrong.....but I have seen this before.
