....Yes well....ehh....where do I start with this topic?

...O.K....here we go.....To all those attending the 4/20 Growers/Breeders Cup in Amsterdam this year......with camera's...

Can we please have some manners in respect of not compromising anyones security by taking photographs of anyone person without at least asking said person for permission to do so?

Any cannabis plant or bud or gorgeous glass pipe that you may see is fair game for a photo session.....as may be some of the local totty on bicycles if asked nicely....But within the confines of the 4/20 cup we must ask you to honour our wishes and if you want to snap pickies....then at least ask the person at the end of your lens if they want their image captured within your Cybershot.....Nikon......Fujitsujudo camera...e.t.c.

Thankyou for your kind indulgence.....

Yup, my friends were really amazed last year when I showed them the pics of my trip. There wasn't a single face! I would rather not have my face be common knowledge so I assume that nobody else will want their face in my pics either.

That's one of those go without saying things which, however, is better said. You did so very well Gypsy

As far as being included in pics is concerned for myself, depends on who's the photographer.

I would permit longtime friends and certain breeders to include me in their pics if they want, but won't allow myself to be photgraphed by everybody and their grandma, not that the subject matter is anymore interesting to photograph than anybody else :D. Just don't want to see myself on the local forums over here with the caption: Cannabis Mata Hari Bluevelvet Does Amsterdam with a full color life size 8 billion megapixel photo of me passed out in the corner

Good idea Gypsy piccies of the ICers could prove fatal to security of the individual growers at least...let alone as a whole :joint:

Hey, Thanks for the Heads up Gypsy!
This is good to know since as you know that "other" cup has 1million and 1 photographers/videographers, and I know "I" was in at least 50 videos that I had no interest in being in.....
It all stems from Amerikans view of "Public".... In the US you can videotape ANYONE in the street, at an event, parade etc....because that is the only time you don't need a release!(In public you are not entitled to expectations of privacy)
Now, at the HTCC they encourage you to video the expos, the coffeeshops encourage you to video , the sponsors encourage you to tape the seminars etc(Even though people like Jorge had to don a goofy wig<Pre-this year, if my memory serves me this year he went natural>)..... BUT that ends WITH the cup!

A friend went to A'dam after the cup and the atmosphere was completely different! Videoing in a coffeeshop the dealer got totally pissed and basically let him know, you do that in the wrong place and things can get heated! THEN, while videotaping a tram,(for some b-roll) a man in the street thought he was taping him, hit the camera and threatened to kick his ass.....ONLY after showing that the guy was NOT in the frame did the guy leave him alone!
So.....No DOUBT there is a different standard for videotaping in public in A'dam and the US.
(and thats not even considering the US people whose liberty is at risk)

Now...... Is there going to be video allowed of the "seminars"? Is BOG gonna borrow Cervantes' WIG or will those also be off limits? And lastly any info on video at Nol's and or if Soma drops by.

I have NO problem following the rules, as long as I know the rules!

Also, should ANYONE be a HAM, I will be doing some video for a NYC public access show(about the 420cup) We have done shows on the HTCC, Tokers Bowl, Million Marijuana March etc...).....Give me a holler if you want your 15mins to be on NYPATV!!

In everyone's best interest.......

In everyone's best interest.......

No photography will be allowed during the Awards Ceremony. IC Mag authorized press members only will be permitted inside the venue with cameras. Sorry, but this is in the best interest of breeders, independent growers, and all attendees.

Also, no photos will be permitted to be taken of people inside Gypsy Nirvana's Seed Boutique. This will be closely monitored by our security staff.
