Thanks I was lurking back when you were under a different user name. Thanks for being 1 of the pioneers on the use of plls on this site. I was kinda disappointed when you went to CMH. I was looking for more PLL innovation.

They were at 5 nodes I topped them and put the cuttings in my cloner few minutes ago. They are very healthy, fat leaves on the bmr ,very indica like. My C+ has a similar smell. I can still smell it on my fingers. The c+ also stretched a little at first but I just transplanted deeper. I really like what I have been reading about the C+ all positive statements.

very much so, I feel like the grow is back on track. I got some earth juice bloom and meta k to help with blooming. The pots I use for my footprint while bigger are not big enough for water only nutrients. I need a better way of staking the plants. The tops get to heavy for the stems to support.

I don't know what feels better gettin high or a grow that is dialing back in.

Great cab Tilt! Hopefully you find the right strain that will grow massive forearm-sized single colas for you. I tried a perpetual SOG with OG Kush .... bad idea. Big stretch, small yield. Really the exact opposite of a massive single cola.

critical + might be my ticket thanks for the encouragement.

announcement vertical pll cab of doom 1.0 will be retired.

My buddy had a security issue so this cab is coming home with daddy
I just have to put it back together and work out some bugs. I will start a new thread for it in the microgrowers forum maybe. I'm looking forward to the serious upgrade.

Kinda nice to get it back after you put all that effort into building it!

Heh.

I'm seriously thinking about switching to a 400w CMH bulb. Similar light spectrum to PLL/CFL but more penetration and a single bulb.

I did the math and it's quite a bit cheaper for me to buy a ballast, light and air-cooled reflector than it is to buy the 3 ballasts, 12 bulbs and 12 2ft tubes to build my PLL idea.

And from what i'm seeing, people are easily pulling numbers that put my CFL harvests to shame. (11 ounces out of a single 400w bulb in one harvest.)

I really was in love with my PLL design, but less money, less effort, easier build, less wiring... more herb? I don't know how to argue with that.

Good luck anti. I'm sure with your design skills you can make it work. I had a 400w metal halide in my previous grow. I can appreciate the power of HID. It worked pretty good but my situation changed and I needed something with more manageable heat. I could build a 400 watt cab anytime ( i have ballasts and lamps in my truck.). I know that people build cabs all the time but HID lights in a small wooden box scares me. I am an electrician. I have seen way to many blown up lamps and ballasts to feel comfortable with them. The most recent was a 400 watt parking lot light. The lamp exploded when the ballast melted. It blew off the lense and cover from the hinge onto the Lexus below it.
