The Dog's 2004 IC Cup Diaries: Caution,Do Not Operate Heavy Machinery

First let me take a second to thank the following folks:

Gypsy and DG,who are fantastic hosts-May your glasses always be full of the best bubbly, and may your GLASS always be full
of the finest melting bubble.
Fucking incredible,man-you pulled it off!

Chris,IC Editor/voice-of-reason-at-large;
One of the solid players in the organisation,we talked a lot,and he's a great guy,a true lover of all things cannabis and a true hater of anything (or anybody) oppressive.
He's here to make IC Mag the best it can be,and it shows!

Skip,Webmaster at IC Mag;
A real nice guy,we shared some stories and took him to dinner.
Unfortunately we partied him so hard after dinner that he got lost walking home for the first time in,I think, seven years....and he took ill and was out of the pic for the rest of the week.

Saint(ed) Teflon,
(If you're not sainted YET,you shold be,SOON)
"Doer of Good Deeds" is an appropriate title,Tef's damn fine with computers-he designed the kief-candy wrappers we all ate,and my seed display at Seeds Direct (using some of PB's art, just a stunningly well-designed setup, thanks again for that!
Teflon's got good stories, and you can tell he doesn't add TOO much for dramatic effect.
Seriously,a genuinely comitted cannabis activist and an all-around good shit.
A guy I'd want in my corner anytime.

Soma,
As gracious as ever,I called one night and asked if I could bring a few OG'ers over.....two full cabs and a few bikes later,Soma's house was (unexpectedly,to him) full.
He entertained like he'd not been busing his ass all day, that's the definition of CLASS.
Many thanks,Brother, and by the way,all your herb was outstanding and tell Lexus and your lovely daughter that I'll keep them in my prayers at night and will see them both soon.

Bonguru,
Always nice chatting with you (stop) am looking into developing
BBQ sauce for the (bland) euro palate in tiny packets.
(Just kidding, man, thanks for the hospitality, that Wonderberry
bubble was one of my favorites, this trip-you need anything, you kinow how to find me,pal.

And the OG/IC/SD Crew:

Hashcraver and the Missus,
Fun people who partied like the world was ending and still got up earlier than I did :D
HC II loves his hashish-that guy loaded me more hash bowls than I smoked in the previous 3 months-in three days, lol!
His Missus is a really down-to-earth person, smart and vibrant as a whip, and the perfect match for HC-she keeps his shit in LINE :D
(I can't imagine wtf he'd do w/out her,for that matter.
It was a pleasure meeting you and hopefully we'll see each other sooner than later, say, later this summer?

Smokey and Mrs.Smokey,
I spent more time talking to Smokey and the Missus likely more than anyone else, and would be honored to be considered a friend by these two.
I can't tell you how impressed by these two wonderful folks I am.
Oh,and these two are EXTREME SHOPPERS,ask Smokey what he bought,LOLOL!)

Jimmynitz,
("Where's...................................................................Jimmy??" :D
Another great guy to hang out with,a bio-grower who knows alot and absorbs tech details like a sponge w/out ever asking a stooopid question.
He and Barge with their Nikons got me headed into micro-cams.....more on THAT in another thread.
A gentleman grower and a good shit.

Minister667,
Hailing from Spain,an outgoing guy who's equally an excellent grower AND a musician,he talked to me about many European laws regarding cannabis intricasies and explained, to some degree, that Socialist governments can be ODDLY liberal

Purplehazer,
The Sour Diesel #1 Fan
We talked for a few minutes, this guy's one helluva' grower, and his friends we really cool,as well.
Mr.Sprinkler.......yupytupyupyup

Barge and His Better Half,
This guy's exploits are well-documted,and he's one helluva' photographer,as if you didn't already know.
He made THE nicest White Widow full-melt,some of the most raw-power

**If not listed above it does NOT mean I don't remember you,
but I didn't keep lists and I smoked,on average,30 joints and countless bowls of hash, daily.
(Did I mention the beer?)
Some folks came up and intro'd and treated me like a bit of a celebrity, said they did small,250w/400w grows, and downplayed their skills.
Well,to me,ANY grow is a GOOD grow and

Chapter One
(In which one twisted (sharing valium with the other passengers,
all-in-all fairly medicated) Rezdog arrives cross-eyed in Amsterdam and proceeds to get absolutely WASTED for nineteen (yeah, you heard me) NINETEEN SOLID HOURS OF herb,hashes,hash/kief food, bubble hashes, and oils)

And that's JUST DAY ONE.

So,I'm standing in Seeds Direct,it's 10a'ish,and BOG walks in.
DG,who's behind the counter,whispers,
"Let's play a joke on BOG,tell me you're looking for a med strain and I'll dis BOG and reccy your seeds,he'll TWEAK!"
Dutch (more about her Neville's YHaze,self-made bubble, some of the best on my trip)is a nefarious joker-
So,it runs according to plan....
DG reccys my seeds (to me,LMFAO!)
And you hear BOG sputter,once....twice....

And DG says,in her inimitable southern sunset lilt,
"BOG,there's someone here I want you to meet.......

(Insert pause HERE for effect)

...........this is Rez."

Stay tuned.

**Barge,I named my new cam "Mighty Mite, sibling of Mini Me" :D

You are truly a friend!

You are truly a friend!

Glad your home safely bro. I had a blast and enjoyed you and Crisstill's company immensly. The Growers Cup was the most fun I've had in many many years. I have to second the kudoes to all those people whom made my time in Amsterdam such a pleasure. Everybody was just so nice and considerate. This is the attitude that I like to surround myself with. A BIG THANKS for showing me how to use my camera. It only took me two years to learn how to use it. I'll have pictures comming up soon, And I certainly await yours. I'll be in touch, Smokey

Nice shots REZ, if you dont mind me asking. Did you just put that hash in with the CDR and pack it into your stuff for the flight home? Just curious what your methods were. I have brought hash back twice and I am going to the DAM again this June and would like to bring back more!!!:D

Sour Cheers!
