Hi all, did a searched and no results came back. I've ran across dewey misters on IG and this device seems very interesting. Check out videos of the creator of dewey misters, his real DIY genius.
Anyway, I am thinking of implementing the dewey misters into a RSWC system(very similar to current culture system). This device seems like it can really cut my RO water and chem usage significantly. One concern that I do have because I haven't been able to use one and test it out yet, is that I plan on growing some monsters with some large root masses, I am wondering if the dewey misters will be sufficient in supplying enough water.
I am thinking about a 27gal black heavy duty tote size and about 4 misters in there.
Anyone with any experience can chime in on these?
I'll be doing about 4-6 27 gal totes, 3 inch pvc(I'm probably going to buy the current culture bulkhead but if anyone has cheap alternative that be nice), a control bucket, a 1000gph mag drive pump to return water to control bucket, a RO reservoir for topping off, of course commercial air pumps, and definitely water chiller.
Now that i've thought about it, less water, more effective your water chiller and better for roots. Although the roots won't be sitting in that much water, will the ambient temp inside the tote be too warm to cause issues(if my environment temps can reach up to 80)?
Much thanks for any inputs, can't wait to get my hands on these and start building.
