I've been growing seed my entire life and always names it what it came out like,not what pedigree it's attached to. Because this is controlled mostly by MICROBES! Not genes!

On a website FULL of misinformation this may be the most ignorant and downright wrong thing I've seen here.

I hate to break it to you but pedigree and provenance is everything. I’m not sure where you are from but where I live you are talking about breaking a cycle that’s been perpetuating itself since the 1960s. The cannabis culture was damn near created where I’m from.

And where I’m from some plants have been so top notch that they have gained notoriety, not because of hype, but because of quality.

If you’re okay with smoking something that is vaguely similar to something that really profoundly affected you the first time you tried it, I implore you to do so.

Not me though, I want the verified real deal. I want the plant that was so good that it’s been kept for years and propagated because it’s just that good.

Pedigree is everything.

I think the word pedigree suggests pure breeding homozygous lines with selective hybridisation,, this is the way forward!!! ,, it's a preservation thing!!,, genetic markers,, sequencing,, certain traits can hopefully be set to markers,, maybe even given funky names,, but we need quantifiable results and data,,, we need to separate the soup,, we need to brake it brakedown and rethink methods,, at least try to hit a positive trajectory,,, we need to agree on a way forward that is more tangible than yellow brick Road we are on now,, we need to see behind the curtains

Yeah diablo is a solid one. Originally came from Reseda Discount Caregivers in the Los Angeles area. DHk got it somehow and they spread it far and wide. It’s either a ghost s1 or supposedly a cross of OG and a strain named diablo which isn’t very popular but it’s supposed to be a BB x GF x African Sativa. I don’t know how much truth there is to the latter but it is what it is I guess.


And frank yeah the diablo and the Skywalker are kinda similar. I guess they can both be loosely classified as “Sativa OGs”. I can see how there would be a mix up.
I haven’t seen diablo in a really long time though. I gotta go looking for some fire flowers now. Lol.

Thanks for the tip dude. Next time I’m in between SoCal and the farm I’ll stop in and see what they have.

I may be muddying waters calling the original cutting the Josh D as he sells the selection he made with karma as the Josh D OG and the original cutting the OGKushStory or OGKS for short.

Whichever one it is it’s fire. I’ve actually been trying to get my hands on that Josh D cut aka the TKxSFVxHA deep line breeding done by karma. I’ve smoked a shit ton of it and honestly can’t get enough. It’s a modern take on a classic funky OG. It ticks every box for sure.

Just self an original OG Clone , only way to keep the true classic profiles

pre Fuji Matt bubba josh D's TK,NIkkaT won 1st ADSI with Ghost , Matt and Fuji said TK was Ghost ,Ghost came from old grower Ghost lol Boards wise look up Dates on THCF and IC CANNCAB OVRGRW all of them , each of the originals has its shuttles cleaner differences ...

I'll be smoking on the first nugs next week, she grows really fast and strong, lots of stink with big nugs

I got her and she's the closest thing to the real OG in smell to me, similar effects but the OG is the better buzz and pain relief.

She goes into flower OD here real early too which is nice.

Just finished reading through all. Awesome thread.

So much respect for guys who hold onto those special lines. In the late 90's I never thought to keep seeds or cuts, I always thought they were around and it would all be good. Says a lot about how solid these people were to have the perseverance, dedication and balls to keep those special girls alive.

It's the cut 'Herban Tribe' produced and sold in Eugene, OR at Amazon Organics in 2018. It's an excellent cut, stretch is dependent upon how well the root mass has been managed (at least in organics). Its definitely a solid OG based on every characteristic that Ive heard described. I'm less familiar with the other contemporarily available cuts, e.g SFV, Ghost, JoshD, etc. I will say this OG has a VERY similar terpene profile as the Forum Cut of cookies, (which I kust got dialed in in my no-til pots and it is phenomenal).

Anyways, Id love to post photos and more info on this cut.
