I am a middle aged man certainly not prone to crying, ever. Raised by an out of control manic depressive prone to violence, I was fortunate to be put out on my own at age 14 , had to carry bricks for food until my forged birth certificate was complete and could join the military. I have been in multiple branches of the military seen and participated in my fair share fire fights. With all the violence and hate in my personal realm. I am one cold person 360 days a year. Not mean, ill tempered, or mad, just cold(outside appearance).
It irritates the hell out of me that during Christmastime I will cry. Not being SAD(maybe a pun).
The first time it happened I thought my face was leaking. This was something new. The flood of emotions feels good. I had never expected emotions could be good. The Christmas of the bible(I am not religious) always does this to me now that I am old (90 in bone age).
The commercialization of the day that Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus of Nazareth is the most hypocritical rubbish. Still I am so overcome with joy that I cry. The small amount of bitter water I shed is cleansing I feel las If a giant burden has been lifted from me.
This is a gift from my superior being. I call him God. Not being religious this is kind of freaking me out.
I do not deserve such a gift. I have not asked for this gift. I hide this from gift my family(children grandchildren and spouse). I will leave the area or tell them its the allergies.
Because of this Christmastime gift my holidays are always merry. For those of you believe I wish you a Merry Christmas. For those people of different faith or none I wish you peace in your lives. Peace in all your personal realms. I will apologize now for any person who has been put off by this post. This is a well wish forum and I wish everyone well.
