The cannabis flavor map

High everybody thanks for clicking thru! I've always been interested in all the different flavor/terpene profiles, and my mind needed a way to organize them. I've seen the DJ Short and Ed Rosenthal breakdowns, while it separates the profiles well I'm interested in trying to organize them better, in a way that let's you almost compare strains or see what they taste and smell like. *I've seen GHs wheel and it only has there strains, and it's kind of all over the place, ... It doesn't give me a good picture of what I should expect.

So here is some horrible chicken scratch of a first version flavor map that's *just about illegible *I'd love to discuss this further and work towards a consensus (if possible) about how to organize the map.*

It's basically 4 polar scales, that I tried to lay out the way I saw it fit. Top to bottom is robust, full to subtle and delicat. Going clockwise I have sweet ( bottom left) to sour ( top right) now left to right we are light to heavy, then top left I have chemy /astringent, down to the bottom right as earthy.*

Way out of my league, however Headband is in the top 3 of my favorite tasting cannabis ( in all categories a favorite actually)

I'm facinated by the fact I've got Headband that has claims to 26.56% as well as Headband that's 22% and they both taste essentially the same. I'm facinated that someone knows ( apparently ) how to grow this and maintain a consistentcy over a period of time. Now would you grow smoe please?

I hope I'm not too far off topic.

My old eyes would need a link that would expand to something a little larger than what you're showing........

The smell and taste of headband def up in the faves....I personally do get the "headband" effect which I don't like/ or I doesn't help me

Ok , question , where would You place a minty/menthol profile/strain?

I'm thinking it's more light than heavy, and more astringent than earthy..... No fruit, no sour.... Or is it slightly sour? Obv not skunky sour but...... Hmmm

I think it's cool! Just at a glance, it makes sense. If you made it neater I would look at it some more! I think you're on the right track.

Hammer, not get medicated??? actually your in luck, I have a poss new employment opportunity and I'm on day 2 of no smoking *it's super tuff *I'm generally a breakfast lunch dinner, midnight snack smoker, and it helps my add/anxiety/sleep/muscle relaxer/and bowels...yes bowels. So next version will be made herbless. Gotta keep in mind this version (and most of the stuff I do was made by me for my eyes..... While medicated. Pulled it outa my all things herb binder and just took a pic. Funny I saw your name and said to myself dammit, I know it's gonna be a reply about my shitty chicken scratch. *

Hehe I just noticed it was a GHS design and has their strains on the outer rim. Might be the best thing they've ever done involving cannabis lol.

The one motaloca posted is good too. I have a few other terpene charts saved on my iPod that I'm gonna look through

Thanks mota! And thanks! Cannavore, so now we have the others mentioned in my opening first post. Mota Is that rosenthals ?,, I'm not sure at first glance because the one DJ had was basically the same just laid out differently.*
Look at the gh one, it's got a nice big list in a circle but strains are all over the place and in multiple spots . My mind would work better with gh version if they just listed the flavor/smells str8 down a line with a bar graph each bar being a diff flave/smell, and that way you would have to make a bar graph for each strain. The rosenthol/DJ is nice but its not strain based, it's just breaking down all the diff smell/flavor that presents itself in cannabis. *So what were trying to do here is use those breakdowns to make a map that shows how strains relate to eachother using polar scales all overlapped. Or maybe even coming to an agreement that each strain needs it's own bar graph to compare, or the map needs more scales or the scales are wrong/not accepted. Mainly the current Map is crossing scales of sweet to sour, and earthy to astringent, ending up with quadrants basically. I personally want a way to see how strains relate to eachother via taste and smell. Hammer, it's been a while ... Like 97 since I had str8 NL but I feel like it was more in the earthy/hashy quad.*

Yes canna that is the DJ chart, motas must be the Rosenthal.
The greenhouse wheel just puts most flave smells in a circle than they overlap all their strains. IMO if your going to list the same strains more than once, I'd rather see each individual strain with it's own bar graph.
