THE BREEDING GROUNDS CLF Indoor

I took some clones from my current grow to make mothers for next year. I have 3 NL#2’s and one Sativa mother. The sativas get so large I am thinking of doing a mostly indica grow for next year. I also have one Lethal Purple mother (from seed which I need to clone) and ten seeds that went into 8 hours light today to sex. Today being August 25th 2007. I am growing them under a 250 watt Harmony Grow Bulb. Here are some pictures from 13 days ago in the cloning tray.

Here are the bulbs I am using...

I am trimming every other leaf on the sativa to keep her small (Refer to picture below). I do not have much room for sativas to be growing crazy. Well I have the room though not the money for electric. I trimmed the indicas (nl2) abit as well to compact the nodes a bit.

They are on 24 hours of light at current time as the Lethal is an auto flowering strain which I reverted back to veg.

Here are the mothers to be as of just now.

Here are some pictures of just now.

I just started the four foot track. 5 minutes each way.

The sativa is leaning down and about to get another hair cut.

About to take some more clones

I will take some shots of them this evening. I have 16 clones growing from them as of now and they are only 3 weeks out of the cloning tray.

Cloning 101

Cloning 101

First you will need to gather your supplies.
1. Scissors
2. Clonex
3. Olivias cloning solution (mixed 6 oz to one gallon)
4. Mother plant
5. Bathroom cups
6. Cloning tray
7. Spray bottle
8. Promix soil
9. Packed bowl
10. Lighter
11. Poker (nail)
12. Lighting source

Your soil should be mixed with the olivia and water prior at 6 oz to one gallon of water. The soil should be wet though water should not be able to be squeezed out.

Next trim the clones just above the node so two branches will grow from where you cut.

Cut on a diagonal.

Dip in clonex.

Place in cloning cups.

Place cloning cups in tray.

Mist cloning dome once a day with mister until roots come out the bottom of the cups.

Keep at 80 degrees

A couple more days until I can take a few more clones. I picked up a new addition to the family today on my search for black 22 gallons (no luck). She just got transplanted with a bit of alaska 5-1-1 and thrive alive green.

The cropped one is the sativa mother. I am thinking I do not want to cut any clones off of her or top her though I want to also keep her under a foot high come next april. I would like to see what she can do with that many nodes in the swamp with no cuts and 50 gallons of promix to herself. So far she seems happy. I kind of want all indica unless I can afford another room for my NL#2 Lethal Purple cross. If I have any all purple hackers I will clone that like crazy as well. No luck on the last order. So far its been 1 out of 20 that hatched purple. I hope to try my luck again soon if work picks up. I did get a job offer today which sounds like a good time.

The Indica mothers are doing well. Here are some shots of them as well and the lethal purple auto flower I am trying to talk back into veg. We are still negotiating.

Also is a picture of Dragon Lilly and thee Indian Rope Plant

My closet felt empty so I decided to start up another tray. I found 26 more clones to come off my three, month old mothers.

Here are some photos.
The new tray (26 clones)
The old tray (lethal purple flowering clones yellowing a bit. Two NLs came out today. One was put in a one gallon.)(The four larger square containers are the Lethals)(The yellow leaf in the middle on the NL is from when I touched it to the bulb or more dropped the bulb on the plant)
The shorter mothers.

Nice to meet you AlaskaGrows, love the Aviator.

I turned the 4 foot track on this morning which takes about five minutes each way. I may set up a quicker shorter track that I can control the distance moved as I really only need 2 feet of track.

You're in for a massive grow eh... Wish ya good luck, seems great so far.
Impressive bulb you have there... But for a 250W power consumption isn't HID lighting more efficient?

You're going to have a lot of plants, nice !

Good luck, but as you manage to make an auto flowering plant back to veg, which is not common, you should yield good ! Will you flower them under cfl ?

r Blunt - CFL are more efficient however they have been limited in wattages which is no longer the case. HID's need a higher ignition temperature to have the filament ignite the gases. 80% of the electric used by the average HPS bulb produces heat and not light.
Thanks for stopping in, I hope you can stick around for a few.

Titoon29 - Nice to meet your acquaintance. I will flower them under CFL's as soon as I have enough which may be a while. I also send my thanks to you for stopping in and hope you as well will stick around.

Some pictures from today. The drying room and trimmings

I harvested some of my plants today. Just got done trimming about 60 or so colas. Cant wait to see the NL2 Lethal Purple cross. I got tons of seeds from them. I crossed the Lethal Purple male with some sativas as well.

So I come home the other day and my window on my front door is smashed. I go inside and walk up to the room. The room usually has a lock on the door. A combination lock. It was on in the morning though was laying on the floor open and uncut. Half of my new clones and three of my mother plants were taken. I hooked up another full time 250watt cfl to make up for the loss and installed a better lock. I put up a fence today and am thinking of getting a puppy or full grown dog soon. I would like to get a rottie female and pit male and see if they like each other. The first half of the harvest is dry. Plenty of NL2 / Lethal Purple cross seeds which I am calling Northern Purple. I am thinking about setting up shop on my site and see if the feds would like to do anything. I transplanted 5 clones today. Today has been a beautiful day of productivity and yummy buds. Got to go fill the pipe again. Hope all is well with every one.
