So many fine narratives people have posted showing all the fun they had in Amsterdam this year. It seems that this was the best event ever this year and that all had a wonderful experience. Amsterdam welcomed our group with open arms and the spirit of the people there came across to all of us I am certain. What moves me about Amsterdam is the acceptance of the widest diversity of cultures anywhere.

From my point of view as an American only love was felt. My trip was very memorable and being with my old and new friends was incredibly gratifying. Never once did anyone ever make me feel sad and never once did an ill word be heard. One night walking the street our group did see some sort of altercation but the local cops showed up quickly providing a real service rather than bothering people for no reason. The Dutch people always impress me and I like them very much. So let me thank the people native to Amsterdam for being so free and tolerant.

Lee Bridges was absent this year and he is well known there as the Cannabis poet. We all miss him but know that his word will continue to inspire people for many years to come. Let me say good bye again to one of my friends who couldn't meet me this year before I begin my tour de BOG.

Bye buddy... BOG

Payaso spoke at the event about our lost poet. He has poets last and most complete book ready for all to have now so contact him for your copy.

Yes, the man spoke many truths if you read him...

Yes, the man spoke many truths if you read him...

One of the things about him that I loved was how he saw Amsterdam. He knew it was the one place in the world for him to come to and relax for the rest of his life. The man had enough of stress and he tells how he gave up the living on the edge he had been accustomed to all his life. The man became an example of what living could be with few material things.

What the man had were treasures due to his realization of what was important in life to him. Not wealth or fame but the love of many friends. Thanks for coming Red as I consider you a friend as well. Anyone who can value the words of the poet can see that life is more than just money or a competition for glory either.

There are a lot of cool people in Amsterdam and this event was about judging weed and we did a lot of that. In this pic you see Dutchgrown inspecting something and doesn't she look good doing it? :D My o" My she has gotten even prettier in the last year. BOG

We were very impressed with the samples and the judges...

I would like to stress how seriously judges and officials are about fairness and objectivity. Most would assume it to be a very loosely run contest very subjective in its judging but in reality it was tightly run. Perhaps you have already looked at the scoresheet thread in this forum and that may help as this thread goes on. I plan to post all the decent budshots taken by myself at the event and if I can I will try and name it. Feel free to add your budshots for identification if possible and we will attempt to all see as much of the event as possible. Thanks for coming to my thread and please participate by posting photos relevant to any view of amsterdam and this event. BOG :D a judge starts judging...

Bog, did you go to "The Flying Dutchmen"?

That is one of my favorite shops, the glass there is the best in the world, also the first time I saw cannabis just growing outdoors in the street.

Always a good time in Amsterdam!

I got my nerve up and spoke for the crowd...

I got my nerve up and spoke for the crowd...

I had prepared some things to say and it was my pleasure to tell the people there that Amsterdam was my favorite city on this planet. :alien:

The crowd was surprisingly attentive as I spoke and first I told them about why I grew indoors. How long ago my family of lawyers had spoken to me about growing pot on my fathers land back in 1974. I agreed not to do so but asked if I could have their permission to grow within my home which was on my fathers land. The good lawyer most senior said, "a mans home is his castle." With a wink and a nod I was given their blessing to grow for my own usage inside my home. What reasonable men they were.

My family will back me up if I am ever busted but still I fear the law as most of us have to do. It seemed wrong to me for Eddy Lepp to sit in jail for his bravery while I hide under a bag over my head. So I appeared without disguise and spoke my piece. I talked about double potting and showed them some comparison pics showing how my old ways were the best ways. They honored me with their silence and attention as I mentioned my new book and read some excerpts from it.

Here is the pic I passed around.

It demonstrated the elevated pot transplant when done in the pot and out of the pot and which works best. Cutting of the bottoms makes a lot of difference was the lesson taught and it was an honor to share this.

This last pic is the 3rd place Paradise Seeds Sensi Star breeders indica entry. I just loved the taste and smell like lavender.

Ain't she pretty and tight?

We sure had fun at all times and whatever we sampled the most fun was being together. The weed was remarkably good as was the hash but the vibes at every table were up there with the best of times. :D What a hell of a week we had.

Let's see what I haven't shown so far in this thread... BOG

Hey BOG nice pics of the cup, I remember rolling up a spliff of that SensiStar and it really did taste like lavender. I also remember the chocolate flavored joint you passed me :joint: I enjoyed hearing you speak and think I will be double-potting my soil grows going forward. Its all about getting more vertical room for the roots and taking only the bottom off the pot only allows that to happen. I enjoyed our talk at SB on Sunday as well, it is a pleasure to speak with knowledgeable people about comparative religions while smoking some of the phattest nugz on the planet. Next year I'm going to try to stay a little longer and hopefully enter something as well. Take it easy and keep it green :canabis:

peace,
phat

Another upload of pics shows how early morning Amsterdam near the seedboutique looks before things get busy. The Dutch work hard but Americans start too early. I noticed that the Dutch usually take time for a nice breakfast before they get to work. I borrowed a cool stone pipe and went out to inspect the local flavor while smoking some of my favorite bud.

Then the crowd began to gather in front of SeedBoutique...the excitement was palpable.

Gypsy was in rare form and we sampled some of the worlds best.

You give a lotta seeds away free Gypsy!!! BOG :D

That last pic is someones ECSD and oh boy is it sweet and lemoney!!
