the best way to clean a grinder

i have a three story grinder with pollen catcher but it needs to be cleaned what would you suggest i use?

I use 91% alcohol. I pour a little bit in the bottom, screw on the top and shake vigourously for about 30 seconds. Pour the mixture on a glass plate and let the alcohol evaporate. Once dry, scrape off with a razor blade and enjoy some good iso hash. Rinse the grinder with warm water and enjoy. This usually gets mine sparkling clean. If yours is really gunked up on the blades, you might have to do a little manual scraping and rerinsing but at this point everything is soft and very easy to remove. Hope this helps.

Hello all,

I use 70% iso alcohol and I use a sheet of toilet paper wadded up and run through the grinder.

Mine is just a grinder alone...no kiff screen and such.

that's questionable. I would toss it and proceed to your nearest head shop for a metal one. You'll thank me 3 years from now when it's still choppin as good as it did on day 1! I've been through 6 plastic ones, and switched to a flat metal one and a 3 story. I'll never go back!

+1 on the 91% alcohol, works fine and removes the buildup. helps the squeakiness too!

i was gonna suggest brushing it with a toothbrush over a piece of wax paper and then spreading on your nest bowl/joint/blunt, but it does depend on how much you have in there doesn't it.

i may just give that ISO idea a go though.

I mean if you got like a spacecase or mendo mulcher the only thing you need to clean is the screen and i take a electric toothbrush to the screen and gets all the kief thats stucked, out. I got a small space case and they are great and are the perfect size for sure!

For cleaning the screen of the grinder, I put the entire grinder in the fridge or freezer for about 30 minutes, take it out and hit the grinder a few times on a hard surface and most of the kief from the screen(s) will fall into the kief collector. Works really good! Peace.
