I heard this super computer located in Belgium can analyze up to 7 folders for each individual in the world in just one second. Thats some powerful shit and i hate to see technology closing in on us at this rate.

Heard of it before from some geeky computer friends. think of the underground server farms the us military has....acres of networked madness....underground is easier to keep fast processors cool....theres a lot more technological spying than we think.

I think in this instance it would mean that surveillance and invasion of privacy are going to get worse before people make enough of a fuss for things to get better. Right now we're so focused on singling out the terrorists that we feel it's okay to trample everyone's rights. Not we the potheads, but the general population.

Or cannabis legalization, that'll definitely get worse before it gets better. As soon as decriminalization starts, it will be protected for medicinal users and still looked down on for recreation. So that'll just be another battle, especially in light of all the anti cannabis research going around lately. But hey I'm not trying to be a pessimist, I think it could be lots worse. Just pointing out that that's how it goes sometimes.

Seriously theres only one way for things to get worse and as much as Bush has fucked things up and done whatever he pleases hes not capable of pulling a third term in office. Not once in history has a political party been able to win back office with a president leaving on such low approval ratings. The democrats could nominate charlie manson as their front runner and he would win the election. The dems have also be anxious to repeal alot of the Bushit and we can only hope they follow thru.

I personally feel cannabis legislation has done miracles in light of the last seven years of this administrations tenacity to try and stop it. I can only imagine what it will be like with an administration that doesnt care as much about trying to stop it.

This super fast computer is a remarkable feat of modern technology. Just because it can process an incredible amount of information doesn't mean it will be used accurately. In the end people have to initiate real actions and Humans have an equally remarkable faculty for screwing things up. So I'll say the bigger the front the bigger the back.
