The Banana Trick for Femenization?

I couldn't quite figure out where to post this, but there should be lots of peeps with a lot more knowledge than me lurking in this forum, so lets give it a shot.

In the last couple of years I have been hearing a lot about the so called banana trick, whereby a pack of seeds is placed in close proximity, in a sealed environment, to a decomposing banana. I've heard the rundown on the science behind this technique, but I want to know if it really works. Yes, i know i could just try it, but I thought I would throw this out there and see what kind of input I can get on the subject. Thanks.

Once seeds are above the medium and needing some light,take your credit card out and swipe down your growroom door,and true to my word any females in there will stretch towards your card.

maybe they were referring to the 'bananas' that form on a female plant when it becomes a hermaphrodite. light leaks, extreme temps, and chemicals like colloidal silver can force a plant to hermie - giving you pollen bananas and in turn, feminized seeds.

done some extensive reading on this, ran the bana fem method for a few months......ya gotta keep on the burping and keeping the mold out whilst they get ethylened, and ya might wanna check out the stats on what produces the MOST ethylene, i dont think its bananas.....ya might wanna think about that because most what ive read says to do this for 3-4 weeks.....i was going 10-14 days usually. had more fems but...?...i think using the RobConClarke method is just as effectual. thats enviro conditional control onlly as described in the so-called 'bible' from J.Cervantes.....humidity/lights/light color/light hours, etc....
