The bag trick??

I've never tried it but would suggest when there is a lot more lateral growth. Topping it would help to get more lateral growth. Then bag the end of one of these branches,I was reading on the grow tutorials on here about using a paper bag on a branch to determine the sex of your plant during veg.
My question is what size would the plant be before I attempted this, I have a picture of them at their current state.

I keep mums so I'm guaranteed of girls.
I have done seed runs and used to take clones off the plants. As many as I could. 2 weeks later on to 12/12. Two weeks later know sex. Keep girls. Make mother plants.
Or you could put the clone donors on to 12/12 when at good size with lots of clone sites. Two weeks later you should be able to see female white pistils. Take clones from these plants - all girls.

Hey HC cheers for your advice , I forgot to mention Ive grown these from a standard seed pack of 10 , so it's pretty much a lottery what i will end up with , so that's why i was thinking about trying the paper bag trick to speed up finding out what sex they are , than waiting till the flowering stage . Cheers and quite enjoy your grows there pretty awesome!
Yep, standard seed pack should be roughly, 50/50 male, female. Grow them, clone them and flower the clones. Make sure you can identify the clone donor and clone. Keep all females for mums and a male or two if you want seeds.
Bit of a mission at the start but once you know you have female mums just keep cloning them.

Of course - before you can see preflowers with the naked eye you can see them with magnification. Below are examples of a plants that I could sex with a loop, but could not without one. The plants pictured are less than 4 weeks from sprout.
I'm fairly confident that you would not be able to clone for sex in less than 4 weeks (it could take 2 weeks to get cuts rooted and you can't take a cut until the plant has grown a bit). It is also quicker than the paper bag method without magnification. I would guess with the bag method you need at least a branch and it takes a while for cannabis to start branching.
