The Ancient Kingdom of Kush

T

THCV

Clearly, socal is the return of the Kingdom of Kush. But there was an ancient kingdom of kush, written about in today's NY Times. Thought y'all might dig it.

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/06/19/science/19kush.html

"On the periphery of history in antiquity, there was a land known as Kush. Overshadowed by Egypt, to the north, it was a place of uncharted breadth and depth far up the Nile, a mystery verging on myth. One thing the Egyptians did know and recorded — Kush had gold."

Old seabeds rise and ancient continents sink.

The Nubian Kingdoms are gradually imposing themselves as high civilisations in early African and Middle Eastern history. It's very interesting, if you're into old things.

Archeologist David Rohl has an alternative theory on where the ancient Kingdom of Cush were. To him, Cush was not located down in Egypt as scholars have declared for centuries, or in Ethiopia as Bible scholars claim. It's just north of the Adji Chay river valley and over the Kusheh Daugh - the Mountain of Kush.
Here's a fascinating link on the subject:

No purp & kush, I didn't just find out. I'm an archeologist by profession. When I said "gradually imposing itself", I meant that many discoveries have been made in the last decades, and we're gradually reconcidering this civilization based on the new facts we have at hand.

That's the way in it works in science. It's a slow train.

Rosy Cheeks - Absolutely fascinating! Did BBC and Discovery release those videos yet?? Also, have you read any of Zecharia Sitchin's findings on ancient Sumerian tablets? If so, is there any validity there??
