S.A.G.E n' Sour
Breeder: THSeeds
S.A.G.E x Sour Diesel
S.A.G.E = [sativa???] x Haze x Afghani
Quick Summary
60USD per 1/8th of an ounce, suburb of Philly.
I would give this bud 8.5/10 for its high and 10/10 for its taste/smell. Strong cannabis when it comes to both the taste and the high. A mix of Sativa/Indica feeling... both strong in their respective categories. Very strong lemon sol/pine sol taste. Very good commercial qualities but odor control is a must.

I went back to the east coast this past August to smoke my brains out with my brother who just got out of the army. We have a friend who has a pretty nice connection and was more than happy to introduce us to his guy. A few days prior, he smoked some Sour Diesel with us so I was pretty excited about scoring a bag of sd (I don't know who the sd breeder was and didn't smoke enough to write a report on it). We instead got Sage N' Sour. The following is my smoke report of it.
I remember walking up to the door of the place that we bought the stuff and being hit with the smell before we even opened the door. The odor increased until we got into the main den. We all introduced ourselves (by first names only, of course .) After a few minutes he went and grabbed the bag for our dude. He brought back a bag with one big bud.
{I unfortunately have no pictures}
It was a visually appealing bud. The 1/2 ounce my friend got for himself and us was a nice fat cola... about 7 inches long. It had a healthy green appearance with swollen calyx. It looked frosted lightly over its surface with trichomes. (Sorry, I didn't have loop so I don't know percentage amber/clear/cloudy.)
It broke up very nicely and seemed well cured. Beautiful cannabis.
The smell was intense... heavy,dank lemony cleaner version of what cannabis typically smells like. Sometimes I thought of the taste of candy lemon drops, like when smoked in a joint. When I smoked it in a vaporizer I got more of the lemon sol/pine sol flavor. It always left a taste of sour in my mouth... almost like the aftertaste of clover(for any of you who have eaten clover).
After my buddy got the bag, his dude packed up the 3 foot glass bong and we ripped away a round. Than our friend packed up another round. And so forth. I took about 4 hits total. The high came on rather quickly as I recall... by the time the 2nd hit came back I was doing the stoner shuffle of "should I have another hit?". The mind stimulation was interesting in that in got me into myself at times.. with an indica feel that kept me locked in my chair... as we were watching a (stupid) vh1 special and sort of zoning out to it. When it was time to leave though I was ready to go and chatting up a storm with my brother and our friend. This bud definitely had its ups and down for me.
Overall, quality stuff for 60USD per 1/8th of an ounce. The flavor and smell are very strong. Even people who are not "weed connoisseurs" can appreciate this stuff. My friends are used to paying $50 for pretty quality stuff, but they don't know the names of the strains of it because they don't care. $60 seemed steep for them but they all thought this strain was worth it. If Sage'n'Sour is any indicator of the direction that sour genetics can be pushed... than we certainly live in an age of superior plants. An older head said it reminded him of Thai stick that he got in Vietnam... but he said this was of much stronger taste and smell than anything he ever had. This strain has mega commercial appeal... in fact its appeal is also probably part of its downfall for some folks. You need odor control if carrying or smoking this stuff. Even if you normally (i.e. stupidly) drive around and smoke.. this is one strain you don't want to do that with. I rolled a joint for my friend and I to smoke on our hike and I had to wrap it up in a cloth and put it into an aluminum cigar case to carry it around. The high is very nice... almost narcotic at times and other times very psychoactive and trippy. Highly recommended.
