Thc to Fat absorption maximum?

Is there a general rule of thumb for the maximum amount any given amount of fat can absorb of THC?

For instance the sticky thread recommends 4 sticks per ounce.

Would 2 sticks instead make a more concentrated butter or would it lack lack the fat capacity to take advantage of all the present THC?

I only made butter a handful of times in the last decade and just realised milk would work - now I want to make the most potent single glass of milk possible. Dreaming

whole milk will work, albeit rather poorly. The main issue with both milk & butter is the water content tends to let other compounds into solution while your actives are leaching into the fat. So you'll get your actives, but you'll also get a whole load of "green" taste.

Nothing wrong with that, just be aware of it.

As far as the amount of butter, I have done as little as 2 sticks w/o a problem. With fewer sticks however you will lose a greater % of your butter to the discard pile unless you have one hell of a press to squeeze any oil/fat out of your material.

if you decarboxylate your green first, you lose a lot of the terpenes or whatever they're called, therefore losing lots of taste. the terpenes are part of the smellllll of canna. if you water cure your bud and then decarboxylate, i don't see you tasting anything.

your best bet though since you're using such a small amount of fat (even whole milk can't have THAT much fat, right? idk, im lactose intolerant and don't drink regular milk haha) is to make hash and put that in there. you should make a chai marijuana latte.

Whole milk is 3%, whipping cream is 4 or 5 I think, they both work fine. Heat the herb to 250 for 30 minutes, then simmer in milk for an hour. I add back more milk after straining, and get more out of the mix, then water twice, and I have four batch strenghts to use for different stones. Tastes like shit, but sweetner and a chaser of fruit juice works the trick for me.
