THC-Sativa vs. THC-Indica?

As many of us know, the cannabis plant has many different cannabinoids that effect us in different ways. With legalization on the way, we are learning more and more each year about THC, THCA, THCV, CBD, CBN, CBG, etc. As of now, the most prevalent and effective cannabinoid seems to be THC with one variable... If we consume THC from the Sativa plant, why does it effect us different than THC from the Indica plant? Obviously origin plays a role.. Is the variable terpenes? What am I missing here?

terps or maybe some of the other 400 natural chems that are in the herb, for me indica weed doesnt realy get me high, it gets me tired and sleepy and kind of dumb and forgetful. sativas get me high and energized and feeling awesome ready to do stuff, they each have their purpose . maybe someone will shed some light on the sitcheation

I would venture a guess that the difference is in relation to THC and CBD values. Sam or Tom I think would be able to give a detailed answer.

I read somewhere that weed can contain 85 different Cannabinoids.

Different combinations of Cannabinoids and terpenes are likely to account for differences between Sativas and Indicas, just strains in general...

Different ratio's of cannabinoids, there are 85 different cannabinoids last time I looked it up.

Terpenes can also play a roll in the over all "high" as well.
