thc extraction by acetone/ether/acid

ok well i just read a very interesting article on how to make the purest form of hash oilit is a three part process that requires three products acetone for the first crude step.. petroleum ether for the second step. i understand this is expensive. and the third step requires pure acid. the result is supposed to be oil with a thc% of between 50 and 99%. now has anyone tried this just wondering on the idea of how good it is. and also would like to know how good it is after the first step. Man, I've got to tell you that the solvents would be very, very nasty to breathe. Nasty vapors versus good oil. What a bitch.

A less drastic approach may be to use a butance extraction, followed by an ether extraction. It would have to create very pure oil, too, and you'd be using it with water in some sort of an extraction vessel...maybe it would be a little less harmful on the lungs.

Whatever you do, please do it CAREFULLY!!

people do str8 ether extracts too, but the fumes are unhealthy.

i was think a while back that hexane would be the best choice. or maby doing a BHO extraction for a starting material. just a thought...
