ive seen some bush/political threads deleted/locled but they caused argu,ments, fights and problems. i didnt think there was an issue with that thread.

I dunno. It seemed like alot of rambling that would inevitably end up in that poor sod putting lead in his head. Without doubt there's alot of non MJ related stuff on the forums here.....but that last thread was a bit depressing....glad it bit the bullet before the poster did.
By the way: revenge is a dish best served cold. So I think if someone wronged you that badly years ago....and they're still breathing.....there may be better options than offing yourself. Making that SOB miserable would be top of my list.

I kinda agree with JJ on this.

Most of the non-MJ threads here are pretty non-aggressive/non-provoking, if that makes sense.

Stuff like the NCAA or NBA or NHL or "what's your favorite band", etc.

On the other hand, something that touchy shouldn't be handled on a public forum, IMHO.

Don't get me wrong - I think that it's a HORRIBLE thing to happen to ANYONE.

Maybe a lawyer could give better advice than us.

JJ, I deleted my previous post and I want to apologize, not because you're a person of power, but you're right about acting childish. What I should have done was attack the reasoning, not lowered myself to a personal attack.

So what I should have done:

While I agree that the topic should have been in the Tokers Den or maybe somewhere else appropriate, I feel, as do others, that it was unjust that you closed the thread. Mind you, you're simply following rules, and I can respect that; however, it is up to your discretion as to what actions should be taken.

Now if the subject was truly inappropriate, most importantly from a moral standpoint, then the actions taken would be just. If some anonymous people wanted to discuss their life experience and offer advice/help to someone that is in serious need of it, then it should not be moderated. The fact that no names or places are said on this site offers refuge for those that may not have an outlet in the real world.

I truly think that you hindered someones healing process by "following the rules". Mind you, I'm nobody and you don't have to take any of my words serious, but I hope that you do read this and realize that maybe I'm partially right.

Peace, and again, I apologize for previously said words. My actions were/are not excusable; I was talking out of emotion and not logic.
