thanks:
Before i stoner head forget, let me give a really big thanks to the following group of members and friends of the members, all of them were part of making this year's event what it turned out to be. everyone did their bit, it was wonder full to be at the center seeing what can be achieved with just a little bit of cooperation by our membership.
i actually wanted to say all this on the award night, but i had no microphone and my voice was slowly deserting me, plus to be honest i just plain forgot. but it wouldn't have been possible or half as good without you all doing your part, whether you were an entrant, or whether you just did some judging and contributed to the pot.
first and fore most we thank EdBorg who has been a vital part of the whole cup, he did a lot of the on site preparations organizing us the baggies scale etc we'd need. over all a massive help to make it all possible. hope your 420 in Colorado was great Ed bro.
thanks goes to STRANDvasker for all his running around organizing the winners cups and the ic logo bongs for the raffle and the auction to come on seedbay soon. we might also have a bong with the ic logo sandblasted on it that any ic mag member can rent from the roor shop at half price if they can name their ic handle. unless the raffle winner turns up and claims his prize in the next 8 days or so. plus of course Martin from roor who made the cups and inscribed them for the winners.
then we have our good friend and Amsterdam local mr.haze420 who kindly organized the boat we rented for the tour and got us a private venue to enjoy for the award ceremony. many thanks man, was awesome to have a body on site to get shit like that organized.
then of course a big thanks you has to go to growcodile who was an indispensable help with the preparation work. just the kind of man you need for this kind of thing, calm collected and able to work without mistakes even while smoking the finest cannabis on the planet lol.
big thanks goes to truecannabliss and ojd without their support of the seed fund the event would have been a bit smaller and of course ojd flew in to help out a day early too. our laminates were organized by true too, so as you see, the whole thing was really a team effort.
next op we have our very own web master Skip who put his valuable time in and made us the coolest online cup voting system i ever saw. that thing alone has put this cup on another level if you ask me. big kudos Skip, wish you'd have been there to enjoy the fruits of you labors first hand.
another big thank you is due our resident Janitor Admin oldpink, his work on the cup manager, testing it and being on site to help anyone with problem voting. but mainly thanks for that bong man LOL. but seriously thanks for all your support and advise during the months of preparations, your past cup experience was invaluable.
now this one i really am an ass to have forgotten at the award ceremony. Clarence did so much for us he really deserves our gratitude. without his running the 420 seed fund, auctions etc, our means would have been a lot more meager. so again another big contribution, not to mention those lovely ic mag grinders that he donated from seedbay to the judges.
lets see now, oh yes, how could i forget mellofellowho very kindly made some 65 glass spoons for the judges with ic 420 on them, also an oil rig for the oil king. so really as you see and as i keep saying, the whole thing is a joint effort.
next we come to another great friend that most of us cup goers know. this gent, who goes by the name of Moppel, has kindly organized us a venue for the celebrations. both Moppel and his friend Youri who is the manager of the location deserve our gratitude and thanks. while we are good customers i'm sure, we do walk around with slightly more cannabis then the average joe, so their tolerance level is to be applauded imo.
of course we offer our thanks to the Greenhouse for having us there too, specially Joachim and Franco for having us there and letting us do our event and even supporting it with free lighters and caps for those that wanted.
last but not least i want to thank big Browser for all his advise and feed back during the organizing phase.
also want to thank the nice security guy Eric at the one venue. he really meant business. no laminate, no come in unless it's ok'ed. was nice to know that no matter who you turned to it was an ic member or their close friend.
