These were planted a few hours before the solar eclipse on 8 April. The medium in which they grew was coco coir/perlite. Plants grew under a full spectrum LED (Home Depot 400-watt high bay replacement) with 18-hour photoperiod until 1 May after which they grew under 600-watt HPS, with an 11-hour photoperiod the first two months which was decreased by a half-hour each fortnight, in a 4 x 4 tent until harvest. Nutrients were Alaska 5-1-1 fish emulsion during vegetative growth and Alaska Morbloom 0-10-10 during flowering, from germination until two weeks before harvest the plants received kelp powder and Cal-Mag along with either Alaska fertilizer. Harvested on flowering day 78 with trichomes 1:8:1 amber:cloudy:clear.

The wet harvest netted 3.6 pounds in total, comprised of 1.8 pounds from four plants of Thai A5, 0.6 pounds from two Thai plants, and 1.2 pounds from three plants of Golden Tiger v. 3.

More photos, with an emphasis on a Thai A5 Haze cola that was tied down. It seemed it would never finish as its floral clusters stayed white despite their pistils withering.

Hi @RizlaMan great to see you back :D thanks a lot for sharing the outcome of your tropical sativa run with ACE Thai genetics, congrats on your harvest! That crazy branch from GT3 was wild hehehehe

The first post shows flowers that are ripe enough (i'm guessing Thai A5 Haze), while the ones in your second post seem like they needed more time. Since the images are not labeled, it would be great if you could post pictures for each strain in a dedicated post to help differentiate them. Pictures in the strain threads are also more than welcome ;)

All the plants had to be bent and tied over, so by the end it was very difficult to take pictures of individual plants/strains. When both layers of netting were removed they could not support their own weight, which also didn't help for the photography. To top it off, being frugal my phone has a camera--just not the highest quality camera.

The first pictures that were most ripe were of Golden Tiger v. 3. The second set, with the flowers that were so covered with trichomes they appear white despite >2/3 of the pistils being withered, were Thai A5 Haze.

The original intent of this run was to make Thai seeds and cross Thai A5 Haze and Golden Tiger v. 3 back with Thai. However, only two of six Thai and four of six Thai A5 Haze sprouted. All three Golden Tiger v. 3 sprouted. Both Thai plants were female and all the other seeds were feminized, which ended the hope for this being a seed run.

In my previous years of growing Ace seeds, I've always had--essentially--100% germination. I was a bit puzzled about the lower germination rates of Thai and Thai A5 Haze, but attributed it to biological variability. Perhaps you have insight about this, Dubi?

Ace seeds resulted in a highly satisfying experience and harvest, as they always do.

Now the focus shifts to concluding the outdoor season of plants (all freebies from various orders) consisting of Golden Tiger v. 3, Panama x Malawi, Limon Blanco, and Purple Kush... if I can wait before starting the next indoor cycle of A5 x PCK and/or Purple Zamal x A5.

@RizlaMan --
That's one packed tent of Thai and Thai hybrids!
Sounds like you'll be near to a lb dry.
Pity about no males, you could have had a real stash of Thai based beans on your hands.
Happy outdoor season, to you, too!
