Hi wikidcalibudgrl!!!... Yeah Sage is a blast, I love that high... that weed has bettered my life...

Ah, now I see what you mean... I thought with 1 pic a post, I can write a little to each pic... hope you appreciate this little text...

*waves HIGH!* First, thank you very much for sharing this experience with us. Your plants are beautiful... they obviously enjoy their home with you. *smiles* Have been growing Sage for about 2 years now.... is my #1 favorite smoke. Eager to learn what You think of your own homegrown S'nS.

One's homegrown (if done properly) should always be much better than what one can purchase. Not knocking coffee shops... but it is still a commercial product. Doubt many growers run their own buds through a tumbler to knock off the trichs. *shrugs*
Just my opinion of course.

Anyways, thanks... *shoves a burning joint of Sage through the screen to You*
Have a fantastic day... okies? *waves bye* Akiko

Akiko Sativa!!! Nice you step by... and thanks... I'm burning the Sage joint as I read your post...
I believe most growers like their own the best... it is by all that love put in those plants, I guess...

hello all! a friend of mine is growing sage and sour and was wondering about the different phenos. does anyone have any info as to which is better? he has three distinct phenos and was just lookin for some feedback. keep in mind these photos are only at about day 30-35. still a month to go.one is real hazey with pinkish hues(sativa dom.), but the photo does it no justice. one looks to be a yielder, maybe(indica dom) and the other, imho, takes on the sour diesel traits.he does them in sog with no veg time at all. mind you, anything with sour diesel should be wicked as far as im concerned, but just lookin for some input!! thanks all, and ill be back soon.

Hi BB!... which pheno is better?... the one you like best!... and if your friend likes SOG and no veg, the more indi dom pheno seems to work well...
Yet, like you, my bets are on the sour diesel pheno... and if your friend continues with this one, my advice is to SCROG it... use larger containers for less plants and do some vegging and top pruning...
If it is anything like the pheno I have... it should grow strong side branches when allowed more space!...

he put these in at about 3 inches tall and they were overwatered to begin with, so they probably lost a good two weeks of growth, but from what ive seen they should come around ok! the sativa-ish looking one with the pink hues is a nice site though! one of his little ladies looks as though it might be shootin a banana? hope not!!! i will keep u updated on his grow. my buddys got a fairly big room, would it be harder to scrog a 12'x6'? wouldn't that be tough to work around? with the diesel, they seemed to grow in dif. heights so he was allways moving them around to keep the table even(shorter in the middle and taller on the outside). ive never even seen a scrog in action, only photos, but what a site it is!!! hey sb, when will yours be done?

lookin good!!! just a quick question. iwas told by a friend that its better to flush with a ph of 5.5. that way(if i remember correctly), it locks out phosphorous? is there any truth to this?

Yes P is progressively more available to the roots at pH below 6.4... yet to much acid poisons the soil... next to that, many attest that plants do not like fluctuations in pH... so pick a value between 5.8 and 6.2 and stick to it... I cheat a bit to that rule... while vegging they get pH6.1, in flowering pH6.0 and pH5.9 when flushing...

Flushing is to decrease the concentrate of freshly absorbed nutes in the flowers... taste-wise you don't want to feed till the last day... now the soil won't be fully exhausted at the end and when you pour more acid in your water to drop the pH by over .5, the roots might take in plenty of P from the soil while your flushing with water...

So yes, I see truth in there... pH5.5 will free up more P from the soil to the roots... but chances are on a darker taste... and consequently you might need to pay some extra attention to the curing process...

Growing on soil, I am a light feeder... and as this is my first round with Sage 'n Sour and I have mixed extra little ferts in the water (only 1 component flowering fert in low concentrates)... to secure the natural taste of the smoke...

The yellowing early in flowering tells me to add vegging fert in the first 2 weeks... and I think I can delay the purpling by adding PK13/14 to the flowering fert in the last 4 feeding weeks... so next round I will add more and higher concentrates of fert in the water... increasing to a medium feeding level, trying to maintain the natural taste...

There are so many ways to grow... it is good to stick by your own filosophy... though keep trying to improve on your routine... and with everybody sharing their experience on these forums it is easy to find new inspiration...

My growing objectives are aimed at a sativa high (high THC, low CBD/CBN), taste and health... that's why I grow on soil, add little to medium fert to the water and pay attention to proper curing...

Those who aim for fast cash may put some short flowering indicas on hydro... creeper stone (high CBD/CBN), high fert concentrates and sell it once its dry...

So BB, find your way and start growing... no delay!...

^_^ *smiles* Very sweet looking....

"my growing objectives are aimed at a Sativa high..." hee hee hee... uh huh. Mine too!

*stuffs a joint of Jack through the comp screen to You...* Have a fantastic weekend.... *waves bye* Akiko

^_^ *smiles* thank you very much... however don't wish to smoke up your last bits.
Too bad we cant just trade a bag of Sage for a bag of your Sage n Sour right through the comp screen. Hee hee hee.

Are you going to run another group of Sage n Sour clones as soon as you harvest these babies... or will you grow something else? I just cannot seem to stop growing some amount of Sage... it is truly very special. By the way... you got me fired up, so just ordered some SnS seeds... tho haven't a clue when I'll get around to them.

Have a fantastic week... okies? Oh yeah, almost forgot.... *shoves a burning joint of Rez's Bottlerocket through the comp screen to you.* Stay safe, *waves* Akiko
