Hey guys here's a nice plant I just finished.RMC is actually Hawaiian and Skunk #1 and I think it was originally created by Sam the Skunkman.
The plant finished at 70 days but I could have let it go another week.It is Sativa dom but the Hawaiin brings some nice Indica traits. The stretch was medium although a good topping would have almost eliminated it.The nugs aren't super dense but they are medium solid and covered in a nice even frost.
The flavor and smell are a little understated but the overall smell is a lemony/fruity/citrusy one.
The high definately swings to the Sativa side.It is a very powerful up high but not real speedy.
In fact,if you're a fan of C99 like I am then you will probably enjoy RMC.It takes a little longer to flower but the high isn't quite so edgy.

Thanks guys.

I've grown this strain a couple times in the last 3 years but this is the nicest one yet. They can vary a bit but that is expected.
Growing conditions were the same as always.Flowered under a single 1K Hortilux in an ebb-flow using Pure Blend Pro.

Nice job JLP! I have the same from Seedsman(Sam's) and it is clearly one of my faves now and will be staying for a long time. Aroma, taste, growth, and stone are superb.

Incredible macros JLP you truly are a wizard of weed, brilliant with the buds, coralling
the colas like a rancher controlling a herd of Cannabis cattle!!! yee-haw!!!

I have not seen The Flying Dutchmen's Real McCoy growing in anyone's room in quite
some time.....has the strain fallen out of popularity? Those pics will certainly cause
a surge in interest especially because i agree that you could really pack the plants in
for a great SOG grow or a c13 cab grow.....

So it is typical of the Real McCoy to grow straight up with no branching like that?

JLP i have been an admirer :canabis: for a long time and offer you total :respect: .....

-kind regards from yer perpetual pal the guineapig :friends::wave:

Just curious, JLP. I was always under the impressions that most Hawiians are very sativa dom plants. Something about the intensity of the sun there that thins out the leaf blades. Now maybe this doesn't have much to do with sativa or indica genes. It may just be that the leaves thin out so much because the plants get plenty of sun to photosynthesize with and it doesn't matter whether it's indica or sativa. Can you shed any light on this matter? Thanks, bro.

Thanks guys.

Hey GP,yeah the RMC may be one of those overlooked strains.
The other times I grew it I topped them and they branced out nice but this is the first single stalk I've grown.I could easily fit 4 into a sq. ft.,but the spindly stalks do require staking.

Hey Rellikbuzz,I guess that was an assumption on my part.I knew it was SK#1 and Hawaiian and TFD says it's 60% Sativa and 40% Indica so I assumed the SK#1 was the Sat and the Hawaiian was the Indica but it could indeed be the other way around or perhaps even more complicated than that.Good question though.I'll stick my head in the TFD forum and see if I can get a more detailed lineage.

It looks more like a Hawaiian Sativa crossed with Skunk. I have grow some Hawaiian Sativa X Celestial Temple Sativa (100% sativa hybrid) and one of the phenos looked exactly as your strain.

peace and pot

My next grow will be Butterscotch Hawaiian or at least a hybrid of it. I could tell that the real McCoy of medical cannabis is LifeSaver from B.O.G. On one report, a grower wrote that LifeSaver was near tooth numbing power.
