Kinda simple question. I looked around for a thread about it with no luck. I have a digital PH tester but do not really know hot to test the PH of the soil. Can somebody help me out with some different ways to go about doint this?

google is your friend, they grow lots of other plants in dirt too

I would test my run off water as well as the soil. Mine has 3 prongs push in the soil. Test for light/ph/moisture/fertility. Then I use a liquid test for the run off water. All are simple to use.

Runoff testing is far more accurate than soil probes, the accurate response of which depends partially on soil moisture.
The link I posted is a tutorial on runoff testing, and includes more discussion of soil/water chemistry.

Moto- if you go over there, find my posts, and it's linked in my signature as 'all the boring stuff about soil chemistry you never wanted to know'. :D
