Testing facility for personal grows?

So, I asked around if it was possible to get the plants I grew myself tested for cannabinoid/terpene levels (TCH/CBD in particular). What I've been hearing is that pot from commercial dispensaries are the only ones testing facilities can deal with.

Is this true? If so, does anyone know the logic behind this?

I've done the whole DIY home-made TLC testing thing and am happy with it, but wanted a more specific % numbers instead of globs of color on a slide. Besides, those things don't do terpinoid profiles anyway.

it's true. it was part of the restrictions imposed with recreational passing.
the labs were open to medical caregivers before, no more.
they lost some rights around concentrates also maybe.

the logic seems to be when recreational passes you must restrict the medical side or else
who's going to buy from the recreational shops with their higher taxes and poor quality.

so far CO has not lost too many rights in their medical side because they were already well regulated.

WA and OR are getting shafted presently and CA is up next year.

Hey folks.
Here is some info I posted up in the Co growers thread.
Lots of great people in there and all over here in co.
I hav had great services from this lab.
Easy SIGNUP n reasonable prices.

A big hello to all my fellow Colorado Growers n ICMag'ers!

Hav they changed the law on private testing here in co?

I was told as recently as the 420cc that only med/rec shops n MIP's could submit products for testing!?!?...

I was told in the thread to" jst callem up" n get the deets. So I did!

Thanks for the encouragement to get up n do it.
Apparently the ban has been lifted!!!

I called cannalabs in Denver cause it's up the street from my bros place.
They said they were unable to test private samples due to current contract obligations(med /rec backlog)
But they refereced me to a co, upstairs in the same building

So apparently cannlabs and experientia have gone out of business. Does snybody here know of any other lab that will test samples from patients/ caregivers?
I guess if they have a license it has to come from a licensed facility. Experientia didn't have a license so they could take samples from anyone in CO. Are there any other labs like this that someone knows of??

Is there a decent way to test in house, to get a baseline per cent perhaps.

Short of taking rips and guessing...

cannabis testing for consumers

My guess is that if ordinary people tested dispensary pot, they would find all sorts of bad/illegal pesticides therefore no testing for consumers. :moon:

I'm waiting to see if North Dakota passes measure #5. I plan on being a caregiver and tester. I have been pricing equipment (used) with warranty. You can get a nice piece for about $11,000 to $14,000. I have a CBD strain a friend is refining for me in Spain. I want to ensure I don't have any genetic drift from generation to generation. I can also refine and improve the genetics over time. I will have verified levels of all compounds for customers or patients to compare to my competition. I can also test samples of their genetics and post it on my website if they are lying about their numbers too. I'm totally quality driven in every aspect of MMJ. Recreational is several years out in this State. I would hold mine to the same standards of quality recreational or not. Peace
