Tent setup input appreciated

I am unsure of which way to go with my new setup. I previously had a cheapo tent that served its purpose well enough but time for an upgrade. It was a 4 x 4 x 7 and I had 2 400w digis in it and it did me quite well for a few years.

I am now researching again as I like to be thorough but the problem is, the more I look at the more indecisive I get, lol.:dunno:

What I am torn between is a DR150 with a grostar and a 600w digi and a DR120 and parabolic or aircooled reflector for the 600W.

I think the DR150 (5x5) would be needed to house the grostar as it is a big mofo but Im not sure if its worth the extra $200 or so bucks for the reflector and the upgrade in tent size.

I still have a regular, run of the mill aircooled reflector that should work just fine in the DR120 (4x4) or I could go with a 3' parabolic.

I guess Im just wondering if a parabolic would be suitable for a tent and if the grostar is as good as some make it out to be. That is in comparison to a regular old parabolic that is 1/3 the price.

Any help is appreciated.

Just 2 free hanging 400's?

I would still be using the 400's as I liked that setup but both ballasts gave up the ghost. That got me thinking that maybe I should try out a single 600.

Yeah dude. Check out the vertical grow section in the Growers Forums. There are a large number if members there doing some really impressive grows in vert set ups.

Stack the 2 lights, one above the other, hung vertically. Put a 10" fan below the bottom bulb to push cool air up past the bulbs and hit air up.

Train plants out, rather than up and yield bug numbers for a minimal upgrade cost.

I'll be doing this with my single 400w in my DR80 (80cmx80cmx120cm) tent after I get back from an up coming. vacation.
