tent + 600w or 1000w advice needed please

Hey guys/gals
im looking at going for a 2nd tent/grow area, this will possibly include the following

1 x 600w or 1000w hps with cooltube or aerowing reflector
1 x 5" rvk exhaust on the cool tube
1 x 4" fan supplying fresh air into the grow area
2-4 x 6" clip fans moving air

seeds i have are sensi white diesel, sensi superskunk, bb g-bomb and bb ppp.

Im thinking dwc OR coco in 5 gallon pots.. i have as many buckets as i need along with net pots and air pumps advice/thoughts welcome.



This is as far as i have got with my possible list of things to get. dollar is limited...

1) What would you guys sugest as far as size of tent would i need for the 600w and again for the 1000w light?

2) will i have adequate vetilation for either the 600w or 1000w?

3) how many buckets/pots would i comfortably cover with the chosen light and chosen tent?

Any advice given greatly appreciated

Go with the 4x4 w/ 600w. Should be about perfect and easier to cool. I would highly recommend an air cooled Super Sun 2 for best reflectivity though.

I have a 3x3 flower tent with a dual air cooled hood that holds a 600 hps ... and a 400 hps/mh and love it

9 - 11 ... 2 gallon pots work best

Yeah not much reason to use such huge containers in that small tent. 1, they will take up a lot of head room, 2, the plants wont be able to grow big enough to make use of the container. 6x6" pots usually were overgrowing the cab before the plants were root bound too bad, food for thought.

Thanks guys. i was thinkin big roots big buds.. if i go with dwc then they will be 5 gallon square buckets that i already have.

Use that tent and I use 6 inch axial fan for intake and a 4 inch vortex hooked to a scrubber for outtake through the ceiling of the tent. This ='s perfect negative pressure and its way cheaper and less power than having all those big fans. It scrubs my chemdog plants perfect and that is supposedly one of the smelliest strains around.

In this 4 x 4 tent you can fit 11 bushy plants and a 1k watt is perfect. I have 11 Chemdog genetic plants in mine now that are all 40-50 inches tall and very bushy. If I grow SOG plants that grow like spears I can fit 15 in it.

I wholly recommend that reflector too I have 2 of them and they are fantastic anything by Sun light Supply is awesome quality. I now use their tents ballasts and hoods.

What are the dimensions for the first grow tent? A 1000W on a 4X4 area would be plenty to flower a nice SOG and you could use the first tent for mothers and clones.

I have a 4x8 Darkroom with 2 1k watts in Hydrofarm radiant 8 hoods. I also have a 1k in a 5x5 darkroom which in my opinion is PErfect for a 1k. Both tents are 5-7 degrees above ambient.

I used to have a homebox L that was 3.25x3.25 feet that was a good tent for a 600 but anything bigger go 1k you wont be sorry!
