Evening everyone! I was curious as to what everyone does for pressing bubble for dabs. I cant seem to find a method that works well for me so who better to ask than the hash community!

Couple of ways, between fingers or get some parchment, put the sift/resin into parchment
Fold over. Slightly heat a knife and run over the parchment.
Good quality turns to glass.

Check this technique

However before doing it with a bottle and having only the eye to judge your pressing you should hand press a few grammes once or twice to experience the change through touch and smell as well.
To hand press correctly it has to be done for 15 min with warm hands and putting some pressure into the action. You may have a blister when done but it is a trippy experience

I press mine using cellophane or a food saver bag, plastic is not the best thing to use. Put the powder into a packet about 1/4 inch thick, put the packet in a shinny paper magazine a few pages down, use an iron on low temp and press, turn the packet over press again. I then put the packer in the freezer for a couple minutes, remove from the freezer, and the cello will peel right off.

I use turkey bags now which can take a lot more heat safely than the ziplock, according to ziplock specs it is safe at such a low temp but plastic is plastic as Ester mentioned not the best solution.

Heard someone mention the solvent nature of some terpines.
So you might have some merit to your theory.

Bret maverick showed me his tech. He was actually putting super fine seive between parchment and running a cheap hair straightener over it. Than Dabbing it. He said TJ maxx, $20.

I personally like to hand press, particularly if new to pressing.

Contingent on the quality, a simple press of the thumb while the resin is in the palm of the opposing hand... The glands will stick to itself easily... But this is just the beginning...

Work, and work some more. Pressing hard with thumb.

Create a flat disk, and ball up again, repeat.

You will see& smell the difference the further you press.

Easy way...

Place in Parchment , fold over to sandwich.

Take a regular clothes iron on "delicate" (very low heat) and press with light to moderate pressure.
In this case, the weight of the iron does most of the work for you.
Edit; Make sure you turn the "Steam" option off if your iron has one(most all modern day irons do)
But listen to these guys^^^^^ they are smarter & more experienced than myself.
