technical advise: need help for popping very old seeds

I am looking to open pollinate my VB Black F1 seeds I got from anon during the initial release. Need max germ rate. I recall Steve Tuck mentioned a special technique he used to germ old beans in creating herojuana... any experienced growers your help is appreciated.
