Technaflora line

ok so i have run my last 2 grows on BC grow, boost, bloom and 1 dose of awesome blossom at week five. Followed by a 7 day pure water flush where I replace the reservoir with 0ppm water every two days.

My question is this- What else can i use in conjunction with my regular nutes to enhance things more? i was considering running some mag-cal and maybe some other boosters but i dont know when i should feed with it and if its even worth it. My girls produce some very pretty fruits as is.

also i was curious about awesome blossom i like what it does but i don't particularly like leaving the ph over 6.0 for to long. does anyone use this or have an opinion on the product?

Cal/mag is not a booster in the way that you're thinking. You use it if youre having a calcium and/or a magnesium deficiency. If you dont have a cal/mag def then adding more will do nothing. Add too much and you will have problems.
Why do you leave your ph above 6? Don't you adjust your ph after adding nutes?

I should have been more direct when i was talking about rasing the PH. I run a 55 gallon reservoir and around week 5 when its time to do a water change i will add awesome blossom for 1 55 gallon feeding (about 1 week) the recommended ph intake for (potassium) the main ingedient in AB is 6.2 - 6.5 but that cuts off the intake of other nutes.

I run hydro

I don't want to spend a zillion dollars on over priced nutes such as bloomblastic. Then again I want my buds to hold more weight when drying, I want my stems to be swollen not hollow upon harvest. anyone have any secrets within this line?

I use Technaflora Liquid Humus. it says 15% humic acids (im not sure what else, maybe kelp too). Its very very dark, thick like heavy heavy cream, and an application rate of 2ml/Gal.

comes in pt and qt (and larger) sizes. a qt just cost me $42, but thats cheaper than a qt of Liquid karma @ $18 and @ 8-10ml/Gal

Ive tried Root66, and wasnt convinced it did anything. Im currently experimenting again.

I've experienced faster, thicker budsets by adding 10ml/gal of awesome blossom from the beginning of bloom phase and increasing to 15ml/gal at week 4. JMHO.
I know this thread is old.

I have a ton of this nutrient line from when I first started this hobby. Never really used this fert all that much though, as I wanted to be organic as possible.

However, at this point I am willing to give this line a go. I have heard very good things about the technaflora line. Plus I know their cloning gel (rootech) is primo, and get great results using it when rooting cuttings. So I would imagine their products are pretty solid all the way around.

Would it be possible to use this line in a hempy bucket type of application? Maybe just follow an approximation of the recipe on the back of the bottles?

I agree, Rootech is awesome. I bet if i cut off my fingertip and dipped it, it would grow..lol...

To be completely honest i'm not sure what hempy buckets are, is it like DWC? But i do know that you can use BC nutes in any setup, if it's soil just feed every 2 or 3 waterings. I've seen good things with the Recipe for Success, and it's not dependant on every other ingredient like AN's overpriced "lab grade" crap. Root66 is pretty worthless too.
Start with half strength of the Recipe and work up slowly.

I must have been baked last post, because looking back, it was really incomplete.
The pH never goes above 6.2 and they take in K just fine. It's still readily available all the way down to pH 5.5 or so.
Technaflora's B1Red is also great, it's one of those things that you will see a difference if you don't use it. That means everything to me. A bit on the pricey side, but well worth it. You can use half the recommended amount.

i liked it a lot in hydro, no problems :joint: i'm still trying to get it figured out in soil (you'd think that feed, water, water, feed would be easy enough lol)

but its a solid line for sure :joint:

I was really confused about that too!
If they're listing a cycle, does the whole thing repeat?
(feed-water-water-feed(start over)feed-water-water-feed(start over)feed-water-water-feed....)

Or did they list the first step again at the end? (feed-water-water-feed-water-water-feed-water-water.....) This makes more sense IMO.

If they're trying to give you a recipe for SUCCESS, they should be a bit more clear. I'm pretty sure the second way i wrote it is correct, though.

Hempy Buckets is basically a way of growing in 80% perlite and about 20% Vermiculite. Using 2-3 gallon buckets as pots. I believe you drill a small hole about 2 inches up from the bottom of the bucket, creating a reservoir.

I have not tried the Hempy Bucket method so I gave just a brief summary. It is supposed to work really well though, and am considering giving it a go. There should be some informative threads on here describing the method.

Thanks for your time.
