Hello ICMag ,
I have a OAKTON TDS pen. I haven't use it in a while and wanted to calibrate it . I changed the batteries ,bought the calibration solution .
General Hydroponics standard reference solution
1500 ppm (nocl scale )
2190 ppm (442 scale)
2930s (microsiemens )
TO start I clean the pen tip with alcohol and then rinse it of with tap water .
I put the pen in the calibration solution and turn the pen on and waited for the pen to stabilize .
It settled at 1380 and I press the increment to raise the calibration value to meet 1500 .
when I tried to change the number to match the 1500 calibration solution the TDS pen would not go to 1500 .
It would only go to 1400 . the numbers would raise and lower but just not go past 1400 .
Did I do the calibration steps correctly or did I do some thing wrong or is the pen broken
Any advice . please help . thank you .
