T5 high output question

I have come across a few High Output T5's with a higher kelvin, 20k colour from memory, they were used in aquariam setups.

Can anyone confirm if these will be OK for MJ? I'm guessing they wont be, but I just need confirmation.

I believe most aquarium tubes are 10,000k or Actinic(or 50/50). Actinic is very deep blue or violet in color and is beneficial to coral and sea life. 10,000 would probably work well for clones, but plants benefit most from the 6500k range(for vegetative growth) and +/-2700k for flowering. The best you can find for T5HO tubes are 6500, 5500 full spectrum, 3000. I've seen one advertised as 2900k, while shopping around. It seems to be the opinion of most around here that mixing the bulbs is the way to go.

at the moment in my small cabinet, I'm using 2 foot T8's (sylvania grow lux T8's).. I have 4 of them in a tight 2x2 foot area which is just for my mothers/seedlings/clones..

they seem to be a very nice purple light and the plants love it.
