T5 Floros for mothers and clones ?

I am very limited on how much vertical room I have so really want to use this system. With this said I am only wondering IF this will work, not I should change my setup. Will this get the job done ?
I want to purchase some T5 floros for my mothers and clones.
For my mothers I want to use a Four Lamp Four Foot High Output T5 Fluorescent Grow Light System. This system emits 20,000 lumens of light. With a 6400K bulb.
About this system:

  • Overall Dimensions: 47" Long x 10" Wide x 3" Deep
  • Choice of 4' High Output 6400K GROW BULBS (F54T5HO) and 4' High Output 3000K BLOOM BULBS Included.
  • High Output bulbs have extremely high lumen per watt rating - 5,000 lumens per bulb! This system emits an incredible 20,000 lumens of a wide full-spectrum of light!
  • T5 bulbs are available in different light spectrums to allow for customization of light spectrum.
  • Lamps emit very little heat, allowing you to hang the fixture very close the the plant canopy. Since this unit runs so cool, you can place the light right on top of your plants - THIS DRAMATICALLY INCREASES YOUR YIELDS!
  • T5 bulbs have an outstanding 24,000 hour life expectancy (one year is 8,760 hours) and unlike sodium or halide bulbs, a T5 loses very little of its' light output over its' life.
  • Solid State DIGITAL Electronic Ballast emit very low heat and is virtually SILENT.
  • MULTI-VOLT Electronic Ballast operates on 120 Volt (household current) or 240 Volt AUTOMATICALLY! 10' Grounded Plug plugs into standard household receptacle.
  • Top Quality Highly Reflective 95%+ polished Aluminum Reflector for Maximum Light Output unlike competitions unpolished "tin" type reflector.
  • Locking Lamp Sockets hold lamps in place properly and will not allow for the lamps to fall out.

For the clones I want to use 2 2' foot T5 4,000 lumens floros.And a 6500K bulb.
About the system:

  • Low Profile - only 2.25 inches !
  • 24" (2 feet) Long MINI T5 - perfect for seed-starting or cloning!
  • Two 2’ High Output Bulbs Included (T5 F24HO)
  • High Output bulbs have extremely high lumen per watt rating - 2,000 lumens per bulb! This system emits an incredible 4,000 lumens!
  • Lamps emit very little heat, allowing you to hang the fixture very close the the plant canopy. THIS DRAMATICALLY INCREASES YOUR YIELDS!
  • T5 bulbs have an outstanding 24,000 hour life expectancy (one year is 8,760 hours) and unlike sodium or halide bulbs, a T5 loses very little of its light output over its life.
  • Solid State Electronic Ballast emit very low heat and is virtually SILENT.
  • Electronic Ballast operates on standard Household Current (120v)
  • Innovative Design has ballast placed beside lamps, not above lamps (like competitive fixtures do) allowing them to run cooler and last longer
  • Sleek Design and Attractive Finish make this the best looking T5 fixture on the market!
  • Top Quality Highly Reflective 95%+ polished Aluminum Reflector for Maximum Light Output unlike competitions unpolished "tin" type reflector.
  • Locking Lamp Sockets hold lamps in place properly and will not allow for the lamps to fall out.
  • Convenient On/Off Switch

I use a 2 bulb 4' system for my seedlings and clones and an 8 bulb 4' system for my moms. I veg under a 400w mh and flower under a 1k hps and 1k mh. the flouros work real well.

How Big Will Mothers Get ?

How Big Will Mothers Get ?

Using this light set up how big will my mothers get ? If I can avoid digging out the area where my veg room will be that would be sweet. I have 4 and a half feet now. So how big will my mothers get ?

Your mothers will get as big as you let them.
I keep mine relatively small and still get up to 50 clones off of one mother.
The pics below show 8 mothers under t5 lights - a 4ft, 4 bulb and a 4ft, 2 bulb.
6 of them were just planted, which is why they are so small.
The mother on the far right of the second picture is about the size I keep.
The clones are under 4ft, 6 bulb lights.

LOL! you use your waterfarms for moms.... you must be able to take clones quick and alot of them! I want to get some t5s but need to build a rack. Dongle. how does your clone trays work? flood/drain with some water at the bottom to wick up? its what it looks like but cant really tell.

Shit, i see it. So does one pump doo all that lifting or do you have to use two? Are the clones also under t5's? I been lookin online and some say to pic your colors or some shit. What spectrum do you happen to have.

400+ watts t5

400+ watts t5

For those who use 400+watts in t5s. why dont you just use a 400 watt mh? is it becuase you can stack the clones and what not in racks and just use those long bulbs and keep a bunch more alive? just curious. i usually just throw shit under 400 watt and the smaller stuff in the corners to clone.

I have one pump split.
There is a valve on the shorter tray fill line that I close a little so it doesn't fill faster than the top tray.
Clones and mothers under t5s.
I use the grow/blue spectrum.

So do you think A two bulb, two foot T5 would be enough to keep a mother alive.

Seems like almost everyone on here wildly over-lights their mom plants. They can survive on 2000-3000 lumens per square foot, or even as little as 1000 if the temps are kept on the low side, and the nutrients are kept low(no ammonia nitrogen for one thing!). A single 25-30W CFL could keep each mom more than happy. Mom plants don't need to be very big, even if you want lots of cuttings from them.

I use the T5s for my grows too. They keep the nodes tight and give you enough juice to get a big mom. I dont know what I would do without my T5s

So I am getting 2 foot 4 lamp t5 light for clones and a 4 foot 4 lamp t5 light for mothers do you think this col or over kill. Wanted to go two separate lights so i can drop the one on top of new clones.
