this may sound stupid, but if you use chemical nutrients does that mean that you cant use any liquid organic supplements? I use canna coco nutes and i wanna add some chelates like fulvic and humic acid because i have been having some big ph swings and i know advanced uses edta chelates for their formula because of the instability and that results in a benefit for the growers cuz not only does the edta keep the formula in swing but it keeps your ph in swing and helps your plants deal with the stress.

There are at least 16 essential chemical elements for plant growth. Carbon (C), hydrogen (H), and oxygen (O), obtained from air and water, frequently are not included as ‘nutrient’ elements. Nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), sulfur (S), iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), zinc (Zn), copper (Cu), boron (B), molybdenum (Mo), and chlorine (Cl)

Good idea Smurfin. Of course they go quite well together. I use Advanced monkey juice as a base and organics like LK, PBPF soil, etc...in conjunction. Where mixing the 2 might be bad is if the 'chemical' nute somehow killed beneficial bacteria in your medium, but that is more likely to happen if not bubbling chlorine out of your water. High presence of salt based phosporous (example: PK 13/14 being overfed) can kill beneficials, so i hear.

'Salt-based' is a better term than 'chemical', but most of us know what you mean.

now im not trying to be a know it all or anything, but cant sodium and nickel be included as beneficials on that list? i thought i read that somewhere.
