Synthetic nutes and organic additives

i currently switched to 12/12 and have been feeding my plants with a mixture of flora nova bloom, Alaskin Fish Ferts for N, Coffee grounds in soil, liquid kelp, and terra cycle worm poop. Im workin with a soiless mix of vermiculite, peat, pearlite, and dol lime. I also add hygrozyme to my liquid mix. I have a layer of top dressing of compost, nitrohummus, and quite of bit of wood chips in it. I figure that might keep the soil and roots cool cause it gets a little warm and dry. Anyone have experience mixing these nutes or synthetic and organic. Also how much has the hygrozyme helped others?

Peace

Whutup' the name is buttcrack well... i do have experiance mixing chemy's with organic's and everything will be just fine the only problem is it wont be totaly organic as i use to mix AN nutriants with a ocean forest/light warrior mix, my conclusion is, i could'v went with coco or a pro mix and would'v did just fine and would'v been alot cheaper oh.. and the soil kinda gives u more room for error but it also takes awhile to correct a problem if there was any as for, grozyme yes it has helped countless growers i think its a enzyme like hydorzyme it helps break down dead root materila and turns it into avalibal nutriants for the plant sumthing that would come in handy. just my 2cents, or sould i say 3cents sine this respons was so long :moon:

You can mix 'em. But you'll do much better using one or the other.

i just didnt want to spend 30 bucks on another bottle of nutes so i turned my veg nutes to bloom. I wanted to add budswell later in flower also blackstrap molasses. I figured partially organic...Iused floranova for my last grow and got no flavor and i dont have any difficiencies in veg right now. The hygrozyme seemed to straiten everything out.

Like B1 said, it will work but the results will be better if you stick to synth or organics.

In organics, you're trying to nourish the microbes in the soil. The salts in synthetics create an environment wherein the microbes don't flourish. They may survive, but at suboptimal levels.

Even giving small doses of synthetics is counterproductive if you're trying to grow organically. To me, it's similar to deciding that you are going to randomly let your grow room temperatures rise to 95 F for a 6-hour period every 10 days... your plants will survive that treatment, but it's not optimal.

If i stop feeding them the flora nova would i have negative effects or would it start to build up a micro world. is there any replacement suggestions ive seen many things i can use. Also isnt the hygrozyme spose to be nonbacterial enzymes that breakdown the nutes rather than bacteria or fungi doing the same thing.

The salts from the synthetics will still be in the soil. Try going full organic on your next grow.
We'll be here for 'ya.

Fartcan so i cant really get much benefit. Well thats a skidmark aint it. I probably will go organic only i will have to go on the expensive side and get one by advanced or one of the others that make stuff that probably wont smell so bad and be so much trouble.

i planned on that the first time yet i let the stupid hydro guy looked like a dumb kid to me said i couldnt use it in my medium and me being an idiot and stoned myself excepted the floronova. Im a goddammed retard for that one. This shit will get me by this is a lot of experimenting right now.

There's nothing expensive about organic growing. Canadian peat can be found almost anywhere. K-Mart has Permiere compressed bales here for $7.00 for 3.8 cubic feet. Perlite at garden centers is about $10 for three cubic feet bags. Powdered dolomite lime is about $5 for 50 pounds. Worm castings can be found online or at hydro stores. Check my sig line. Dried blood, bone meal and kelp meal can be had for cheap. Guano and Maxicrop are not expensive either. Neptune's Harvest 2-3-1 Fish/Seaweed is all you'll need in flower and is less than $10/quart.
Check the STICKY at the top of this forum "Organics for Beginners" for some great recipes.

I'm thinking of all organic this next time. I think it will improve taste if nothing else

Thats what im talking about taste is my concern. Burn1 i already got plants growing fine im just lookin for a way to improve taste this floranova shit gives my garbage. Size is fine but flavor is yuck. Im using organic additives to impove this and i dont have a Floranova veg so im adding the N organically. Im saying its expensive to go organic and get no smell and not have to mix a load of products together. Im looking for stealth so i dont want countless bottles of stuff that smells like shit. Specially when mixed bacteria starts goin wild and the stink is awful. Id rather stick to one bottle that doesnt smell bad and is not quite so messy. Until i have a nice backyard to have fun ill stick to something easy like Iguana or somethin. I need to do some researching. i hate asking for answers from a bunch of stoners haha jk. ummmm Shits fine otherwise. THese are my crazy bastards so far. dealing with the higher temps of the summer and dialing in. So i ran into some deffiencies that i didnt have before but im learnin alot. There hangin in though ones thriving quite well. Also i watered late and one of em is dead i think just hella drooped wont perk back up like the others did. Fartsticks... ohwell

You don't need a bunch of smelly stuff for an organic grow. All the Organic nutes i have are dry in boxes. The plant place I buy a lot of stuff at sells Whitney Farms dry nutes in boxes. I have the boxes lined up on my kitchen counter :sasmokin: No smells. I even have soil made up including worm castings in my apt. I keep that in a Rubbermaid tote.

The grow I have going is mostly organic now. The only inorganic stuff I'm using is Fox Farm TigerBloom and Beastie Bloom.

An organic grow doesn't have to be complicated. You don't have to use all the stuff you see people using like fish products.

I am going to use Whitney Farms Bat Guano(10-3-1), Kelp Meal(1-0.1-2+ micro nutrients), Jersey Green Sand(good source of potash), and Bone meal(3-15-0) I will also use some Blood Meal (12-0-0) for longer term release of Nitrogen. Blood Meal Nitrogen is all water insoluble. Bat guano provides some N that is readily available.

I'll also put in some lime. This time maybe 1/2 dolomite lime and 1/2 hydrated lime. I used all hydrated lime on current grow.

My soil mix will be about:
6 gallons of a local bagged mix with no nutes in it. Bag says it is:
55% compost, 15% sphagnum peat moss, 15% coconut coir, 15% perlite
3 gallons of perlite ( I like light, well draining soil mixes)
2 gallons of Black Gold worm castings

To that I will add the Whitney farms nutes I listed above in amounts like the Sticky for beginner Organics that BurnOne wrote.

I will use only water and teas as I go along.

And I am betting my grow will do fine.

What do ya think?

Obli :sasmokin:
