I'm considering switching my electric to a "Time-of-use" plan, instead of my normal constant rate plan, since i run my lights at night. But being in a non-med western state, do u guys think it's a bad idea? I run about 1500 total watts in my grow. If i switch, it'll save me 5 cents a kw/h(currently around 13cents constant), which would prob save me $20-30 a month. BUT the drawback on that is then they'd be able to see when i'm using the power. They told me that with my current digital meter, they can only see how much i'm using, but cant tell when its being used. I'm just wondering if saving that extra money will jeopardize my security at all? What are everyones thoughts on this?
