switching DE HPS to CMH using 5x5 footprint?

is there any benefit of switching over to CMH using 5x5 footprint from HPD DE's? i a 315w cmh or even 2x 315w cmh will not cover a 5x5 foot print so im not sure if CMH is even an option. i have to maintain 5x5 in my room.

i have '2' 315's in a 4x3.5ft tent - and the light is def uneven , the lights outside of the middle of the lamp def get less lite - and raising the fixture decreases the intensity... i use some cheap led's to add lite to the sides, but still the grows are uneven- which i could use my 1000watter hps, but the tent gets tooooo hot - as to led's to get one to cover my footprint would be well over 1k... unless i wanted a cheap chinese led...
