Switched to Ebb & Flow still some issues HELP!!

Alright I switched to E&F from TAG. I will still be going TAG but not as a main production source. E&F is much easier to grow with and I will have more time to work if something goes wrong, and it is. I am going through a few different sick plant guides and man they are just useless to me. Maybe it is me but I cannot seem to figure out anything using these guides. To me it is like oh that must be it, then I see the next pic and am like or is it that one, etc.

Anyway I have some pictures for you all and the info that follows.

PH is at 5.8 according to the tri-meter, ppm are at about 450. I am using DM-One grow and Flower with Cal-Mag plus for the Distilled water. My reservoir is 10 gallons but I only have about 7 in the res... should I add more?
The plant is about 2 weeks old and has been riddled with strife since day one. I have totally lost my green thumb LOL.

Humidity is about 50%, and temps are between 70-80F, I water them every 4 hours for 10 minutes. The RW cubes never saturate, and never dry out, so I think the watering frequency is OK.

What I really would like help with is this...
You can see a very slight discoloration in the leaf tips. It is almost like a dark green to a rustic color.

SOO is it PH. deficiency, toxicity, sickness, what. Sorry if this is a noob topic but I am once again a NOOB.

The plant is Cotton Candy

You can see the discoloration on the tips of the leaves, almost green/grey color.

Did you soak your hydroton and rockwool to pH 6 before use? If it was used, did you ever treat it with anything between uses? Explain.
What's your ventilation like?
What is the process by which you mix your nutes, start with DW and tell us what goes in first, what ppm after each, when you pH.

Well I did soak the RW but not the pellets. I was under the impression that the hydroton was inert and did not effect PH, and ppm. On the other hand I did wash all the pellets prior to use, and the grow containers as well. I did not treat them with anything and I am not sure what to use if I did.

I am using a 172cfm 4" Votex fan, that pulls air from the outside. As for the nutes like you said I start with DW and start by adding in the One part nutrient. After that is mixxed in I then add Cal-Mag plus, followed by Hydroguard, that is all I put in the water. The PPm after I added the nutes were around 300, then I added the Cal-Mag and they went up to about 425 ppm.

I have been reading on the different sicknesses from another site and I still seem to be lost. To think I grew for so many years in DWC and didn't really ave any issues but N def. in late flowering huh...

lol I know, right? Hydroton is GREAT but it takes getting used to.
It is inert but not until you break it in. You need to soak it at pH 6 until the pH remains stable over time, then rinse it off and you are good to go. After harvest, manually shake it out of the root balls and soak it in water at pH 6 wiht cannazyme and a bubbler if you are fancy, then drain and rinse before use. Some people use peroxide, which works too, but I've never bothered personally. I run cannazyme in the res so not getting my HT squeekyclean has never caused a problem- but not gettin ght initial pH right sure has! lol
I'd start by mixing in your calmag up to ~250 then add your nute up to wherever you run it at that life stage, then do the pH adjustment if you need to.
Next time you are due for a res change, right before the change you can make up a jug of DW that has pH ~5.5 and pour that through the net pots to drain into the res and try to drop the medium pH slightly, then do your dump and refill. The good news is that it stabilizes within about a week of being 'wet' and your life will be a lot easier lol.

Awesome.. so are you saying that it is most likely caused by PH??

I will be sure to remember that about hydroton, thanks for the tips BTW.

I am at a point now where I am topping off several times a day, evaporation is occurring fast in this cabinet. So the ppm comes up fast and the PH needs to be adjusted a couple times a day. It is very simple to do but the problem is my res is getting full LOL.

So again I ask do you guy suppose that PH is the issue here. It would make sense I guess considering that I never PH'd my medium.
