Switch day and night

Right now in veg lights go out at 8pm and come on at 2am. In a month I want to flower with lights out at 8am and on at 8pm.

Any thoughts on how to make the switch? Should I just do it all in one - switch the lights out at 6pm and leave them off for 26 hours so they come back on at 8pm the next day? Or would a more gradual change be better?

Plants count dark hours with a chemical called phytochrome.

Switch your light schedule all at once using an extended day.

After re-reading... An extended night cycle at the beginning of flower will build up phytochrome and initiate the flowering process a hair quicker.
