switch bulb mid flower?

I have been running a 400w bulb for a while. Everything is great but I want better results. I am almost 3 weeks into flower and I want to upgrade my bulb to a 600w hortilux from my no name 400w.

will I be okay? Is it possible for my plant to get burned? Any tips?

no problem.

there'll be no burn if you lift new light for 10-20cm.

or you can test distance of light... put your thermometer on a height of tallest branch and lower or increase distance of light according to temperature.

I wouldn't put a 600w bulb in a 400w ballast if that's what you're suggesting! If you're saying changing the whole system to a 600w system then you may have to watch for burning and light bleaching and higher temps.

lol no I have a switchable electronic ballast It works with 600, 400 and 250 I think
