Surprise, AZ

What's the word on Surprise, AZ? Is it 'not good'? or gooder! I lived in Phoenix in the early 80s, very brown. I'm now on the east coast of Florida, very green. and the ocean! but not feeling very 'easy' with FL MMJ laws. I'm not looking to make a living, is Surprise a good town?

I actually haven't been to Surprise yet but I've heard some good things. Pretty sure Phoenix is a totally different animal to what you experienced in the 80's.

Really the only thing I can say about Surprise is I wouldn't move there if you needed to commute to Phoenix, but you already said you didn't so... I would recommend the east side for that.

This time of year the Valley is pretty green, btw. Maybe not Florida green, but ya know.

Maybe I'll take a ride through town tomorrow after work so I can actually say I've been there. And maybe I can give you more details than Blue is willing to divulge.

Edit: You may need to beg me, though. That'll put me on the complete opposite side of the Valley during rush hour. Good news is I can use the carpool lane on a bike.

I like Surprise,but if you plan on growing your own meds it would have to be underground.

There is a lot more stores and such,now that it's more built up.

I almost bought a house there many years ago.I would rather live in Surprise then Phx.

BB, Zoso, cody & mrF, thank you for your replies. east valley. no need for the city. What do you mean 'underground', MrF? Not outdoors? Im an inside guy any way... bugs outside! It is legal, no? Playing god and making 'summer' in whatever month I prefer. lol. How hot cold does it get there, generally? I'd love to stay here but sooner or later it will end bad, arreats and courts, or I'll have to stop doing it... parinoia.

IMO that whole area suprise to Aj is hell... not kinda like hell but actual hell on earth... every corner looks the same as far as the eye can see..
lived there for some years once, and have good friends there but wont be going back not even to visit.
its a matter of opinion but I prefer mountains and country living to: uniformity, unsustainable greenness, and vast strip malls..
It was kind of a rough time in my life when I lived there so my opinion of the place is somewhat shrowded by that viel..
