supplemental lighting intensity?

Im just guessing but CFL'S 40- 45's, guessing again for a 5 foot by 5 foot area
Just enough that is isn't dark-- Remember, they are not growing with them, just keeping it from being dark-- We use Christmas lights (clear of course) with about 1 bulb over each plant--
14-20w cfl, in a daylight or warmer white, per m2. You just need to have them on for 2 hours in the middle of the night for force veg.
Indoor grow tent
To reduce heat:
1000 hps for one hour on, and one hour off, but leaving on for 24 hours the t5 and 150 watt warm CFL in the same tent.
Since I am not turning off all light when the hps is off every other hour, would those 12 hours of hps light be very beneficial?
Has anyone done this to keep the heat under control in a tent?
