Ok, my first attempt at a smoke report.
I was inspired when I got a nice cutting of SuperSkunk from my local friend here in Texas. Frankly, I have never really paid that much attention to the skunks. When I discovered this forum a couple years ago, I started chasing all the more exotic strains. I figured that I had sampled Skunks occasionally for the last 20 years and they were boring.
But I was way wrong. I had no idea how sophisticated the Skunk family really was. So here it goes...
Bag Appeal-- 9
Nice size buds with a good coating of frost. Biggest bud is about 5 inches long (and about 12g!) and I put a picture below. Sorry, I could not figure out how to do a macro. But I promise the frost is there. Not the best trim job but not bad.
Smell -- 7
Def has the skunk smell but not as strong as I imagined. Got some piney scents mixed in with the lemon cleaner. While it smells good, I sure would underestimate this bud based on smell.
Taste -- 7
Smoked through a small water pipe, the taste is not that strong. Got sort of a dank taste at first that evolves into something a bit piney. Fairly smooth but isn't one of those buds that I just love the taste of.
High -- 9
This one hits you quickly and really does not fool around. It is well balanced between mind and body with the head high hitting faster. I would not call it a racy head high, rather a more subdued buzz in the head. Same with the body, not a total couch lock but it has some elements of this. It is a high that you can sort of manage based on your mood. The SS puts you right on the edge of an intense head buzz and couch lock at the same time. The balance really amazed me.
Intensity -- 9
This number may be a bit high based on my lack of experience with some of the super strong strains I read about here. But the SS is pretty strong. Half a small bowl gets me in a good place. Full bowl is totally stoned.
Overall Score -- 9
I love this Superskunk and hope to keep some as part of my stash. Makes a nice complement to some of my favorite Hazes. The quality of the high is very good and pretty unique.
