I've been going through a grow catalog and seeing what nutes I need for the future. I need something for extra boosts in veg and also something to start seedlings off with. I came across Maxi-Crop and Super-Thrive. The Super-Thrive isn't really a fertilizer but it has various amounts of vitamins that are essential for plant growth. The Maxi-Crop is a liquid seaweed which seems great for foiler feeding. I also like the Maxi-Crop Liquid Fish 5-1-1. I think this would be beneficial for after transplants of seedlings and cuttings for a boost of N for growth. Has anyone used these products before? if so then let me know how good they work. Thanks.

I would highly reccomend finding and purchasing Alaska Start-Up 2-1-2 W/B1. It is perfect for starts and clones and has the Super Thrive in it. Also buy the Alaska Fish. Then buy the Maxi-crop in the green bottle. This is the best liquid diet i've tried for vegging plants. Get a good organic soil going and a good source of P-K for bloom (guanos, pure blend pro, fox farm.....) and you'll be very happy. Peace

I used Maxi Crop green bottle liquid for veg. With my pro-mix which uses alot of Foxfarm mixes added in worked great for vegging. Used a half cap per gallon and had great results. Don't use it in a spray as it is super messy.

Hello all,

Even though Alaska fish as a high percentage of heavy metals, How is it going to get into yoru body except through smoking the infected plant material-I wonder what percent of the heavy metals is left in the bowl after hitting it?

Has anyone read about heavy metal absorbtion of plants?

I googling I must go...

Let's put it this way, if we worried half as much about the quality of the food we eat as we did what we toke then we'd all live an extra 10 yrs. :)

I can't believe it hasn't been said yet, but Superthrive is AWESOME!! Not to say that it cannot be done, but I've never heard of someone using too much Superthrive, is in it harmed their plants

TWG, superthrive can be very harmful to a plant if not used correctly. its very concentrated so only put one drop per gallon

and do not use Super thrive in the flowering stage. That is just what I have read here at the forums. Maxi-crop is great. I use it along with Liguid Karma to mist my clones with and they love it. I stopped using alaska fish along time ago due to the fact that it stinks the hell out of my house when I do. My wife always thought I had just cleaned some fish in our bedroom. Ha Ha.

Heh yeah straight up with nothing else, it stinks like hell. What I do is mix in some molasses when I use the fish. Good for the soil microbes, and seriously takes the edge off of the nasty old fish smell.

Sometimes I use 1/2 a cap per Gal, like a transplant, so far so good, hope it's not too much.

Both are great for everything from clones to seeds to whatever. The Maxicrop Soluble Powder lasts forever. One container can last years in a small grow.
