Super Lemon Haze, sources in 2022.

Good evening. The original release of SLH was a favorite of mine, and while I have faith in GHS' ability to make crosses I do not have faith in their ability to maintain stock over the course of fourteen years or so. I have stocked up on recent Super Lemon Haze packs as well as Ethos' SLH IBL and Backcrosses; I am looking for other growers who have maintained SLH lines from older stock the way Ethos has with their 09 selection.

Jah bless.

i also don't really understand the logic with seems to conclude the Dutch incapable of keeping females alive ...........if we were talking regular seeds with specific males then i would understand ........but super lemon haze is just the super sliver haze cut crossed to lemon skunk cut ..........when looking for specific phenos ....its alllll about number .... a 5 pack isn't gunna cut the mustard,.. nor a 10 pack imo .......try 50 .. then you'll find what you desire

1)I already stated in my original post that I've picked up recent stock from GHS. I absolutely am giving them a chance.
2)I am basing my lack of faith on conversations with other breeders, including conversations with GHS themselves on the state of their SLH breeding stock.
3)No one said anything about the Dutch being incapable of maintaining plants or stock. I do not feel like engaging with strawmen arguments.
4)I didn't ask for input on plant numbers either, but I forgot ICmag is full of folks who feel the need to offer something even if it's irrelevant or unhelpful.

Chasing The Present
I enjoyed SLH 2009….

I went back in 2010 and none available, by 2011 it was different, very different went molasses caramel in addition to lemon etc, not my cup of tea…

Tried to find it in other lines using same parents back then, nah…

Best bet, some hoarder has 2009 pack(s) stashed away and does a bulking…

I thought I had s few left but last time I checked I couldn’t find them, digging through millions of seeds sucks, maybe I missed them and will find next time looking… that’s how you’re gonna find some 2009 SLH… From a hoarder of seeds like me…when they accidentally stumble across or decide to find them…

Just my two

think this will help you. like nev said hes never found 2 plants exactly the same, so francos slh cut may be a good starting point.... and for 100 bucks not bad. this site is a godsend never imagined this kind of access to clone onlys.

Unfortunately nothing good ever lasts. If u find a pheno that u like you have to keep it going yourself. Don't count on anybody or any seed bank to do it for u. Even cuts will get old and lose flavor and vigor. Cannabis is always evolving for the better or worse....usually for the worse

You have almost zero chance to find what you're looking for in seeds made with the original stock, each grower will have different preferences and choose different plants each generation, if the specific profile you liked was not used to make each generation you won't find what you liked in the first place.
Before claiming the seeds are not the same as they were try them and then try something else if it's not the same anymore. You have more chance to find what you're looking for in the original seeds than a strain work with other preferences.

Apparently rgs has an old cut of the super lemon Haze that he uses for some of his crossed. Gorilla haze,. Lemon drizzle and lemonade og. Might find a slh leaning pheno in there somewhere. I wish he would just s1 his cut and sell those seeds.

My SLH Franco Breeder Cut - In my possession since late 2010, I try not to overdo the mother and only take 6-10 cuts a year and start fresh mums once a year to avoid watering her down too much! She really is special! You won’t find any SLH seed packs currently with anything like this, to my knowledge after the very first release of seeds they never used to franco cut again in any of the SLH releases, they still breed with the Franco cut however, the most recent being the Lemon Orange.

If you want SLH like it was back when it was winning cups in Amsterdam the franco cut is the one!

Labyrinth seed bank has Golden Road’s SLH x A5/Thai. Marcus is doing good work here in OK, seems pretty connected.

Edited to add it’s SLH x SLH/A5Thai, so oughta be some good stuff there.

Back in 08 I ran a pack of SLH and the strain was very unstable. All different Phenos in one pack, from 9 weeker to 14 weeker with wild Sativa growth. The 11 and the 12 weeker were absolute elite in quality. Smell, taste and potency all 10/10. Event the tiniest crumble of Ice o lator hash made me high for hours. Unfortunately I did not keep motherplants back in the day, so I bought another pack in 09 getting similar phenotypes leaning more to the Haze side.

I ran through two more packs lately and all the phenos turnt out way more Indica leaning. All small plants finishing in 70 days. No wild Sativa Phenos anymore. The smoke is still good but the effect is way to blurry and heavy and the Haze influence is only very subtle. Even the Amnesia Core Cut is more Sativa than the specimen from the most recent pack. It´s really sad, that they obviously changed the parents, because SLH from back in the day is one of my top 5 strains of all time...

The Franco cut sounds really interesting, maybe I´ll stumble upon it one day...

Peace

They were the ones to look out for in the early releases! The tall lanky sativa girls 🏆🏆 maybe Arian realised how special the genetics really were and started to release watered down batches to protect his prized strain and be the only one with the true super lemon, it’s such a special terpene profile, I attribute a lot of the heavy medicinal effects with the abundance of limonene! Put it this way dude I’ve been popping seeds of all brands for the best part of 15 years and to this day I don’t think I’ve ever found anything with such a special smell and taste, she’s one in a million for sure!

With regards to maybe one day getting a cut, I don’t know what the rules are regarding trades on icmag, but if you’re based in Europe I’m always down to trade genetics 🏆✅

If the SLH seed line is a cross of SSH and Lemon Skunk then it's gone. The SSH from GH isn't a haze anymore. They changed it into something totally different with 70 days flower and fat indica buds that have a faint lemon smell and a weak boring up high like the core cut.

I remember the dwarf Indica pheno been sought after years ago, apparently it had amazing resin production, and a real quality head high, simple fact is with poly hybrids your going to get wide pheno differences,... its just par for the course ..if you want sure things, get f1 hybrids or IBL'S or... a selected clone.......but i personally think the fun is in the hunting
