Super late flowering sativa?

I went into flower just over one month ago. The plants on the right are coming along wonderfully, with the buds getting nice and plump. My plant on the left stretched like crazy over the first 3-4 weeks of flower, have since stopped but haven't developed anything past 1-2 pistils here or there. Anyone have experience with plants that have late season flowering?

Yep, love those girls who just go on and on and on and.....

My approach to Long Flowering varieties is low doses (1/4 strength) on a pretty light schedule. Like once a week unless they show they need more. I've used this approach to flower out plants for as long as 14 weeks. I've never taken anything beyond that because I'm rather impatient.

Good luck with your grow! Do you know what variety you have there?

Stay Hazed,
Jake

unfortunately they are seeds that Ive had for years, absolutely no idea. I clipped clones from all 3 though to keep the genotype going if they yield well.

I have a sativa strain being grown for the first time. At six weeks it looked to have about three weeks left, maybe four.
Coming up on week ten (nine weeks, five days) and it looks to have about three weeks left, maybe four.

Frustrating.

If I hadnt topped and constantly tied down, this thing would have stretched an extra 3 feet. At 4 week day 5, Im seeing the beginning of actual flowering. Started it about a week before the other two plants but will probably harvest it almost a month later...

Your pots are too big for indoor Sativas and will create trees if you're not careful.

Next time, try pots 1/2 that size.

Its a 3 gallon pot only filled half way. Any smaller would have been a really stunted root ball, no?

I had a sativa that refused to bud. Well, it stretched to seven feet from three and made tiny little buds spaced far apart. After a couple months I threw it out.
Another of the same strain (I hate to waste seeds) was put in an undersize pot, got topped three times, grew some fair buds at the very ends of skinny long branches and finally broke almost exactly in half, three feet up the skinny trunk.

No more pure sativa seeds are purchased. I get an occasional variant in the 50/50 seeds that goes nuts, but not on purpose. I found some threads on how to correctly grow sativa plants indoors, but it is so labor oriented and time consuming I consider it impossible for my talents and no longer attempt the feat. I cull plants that look to be tall willowy sativas.
The plant mentioned earlier quit stretching without reaching six feet and had inboard buds as well as colas. Now that I know it is a never finish I will not be growing it again.
