super cheap grow setup

While looking for ebb-flo trays of the homemade type (hydro mfgs are proud of their plastic) I ran across these.

http://www.target.com/Ultra-Latch-S...d_s=left-5&pf_rd_m=A1VC38T7YXB528&pf_rd_t=201

at Target, 4@ $70.00 get a lot of real estate. Too big for me but in case someone had the room for a 40"x40" ebb flo rez and table (2stacked) add 2 pumps, 2 fill and overflows and a bunch of net pots set in the lid and for about $120.00 yer growing in style.

If you have a lot of room make a float controller /with say a 50gal. rez and now you have 40"x80" . Not real bad compared to what they want for for commercial setups. The all white were out of stock so these are opaque-ish clear I think, but nothing some Krylon plastic paint or, better yet, that mylar bubblewrap pipe insulation sheet cant fix.

Delivered free no less! Wish I had the room for it myself. With a hole saw it'd be up and running in about an hour. (X3 bullshit factor). I'd also silicone a few vertical 1 1/2" pipe supports in the rez and to support the net pots. Whats better than cheap and easy.

Do I have to own one to be king of the "Bedpan Tub Growers Association"?

i think it would probably work but you get a better deal if you just buy professional tables ... for a 7 feet by 3.5 feet about 90 ...

Then buy a rez, then pots, then pumps. I see your point and I agree. A Cadillac IS a bigger car than a Volkswagen. My point was for a 40"x40" ebb-flo rig all that you needed was $10 net pots, $12 pumps x2, 2' 1/2" hose, 4 grommets 1/2", $15 timer and you got a nice little SOG grow for some guy who doesnt have a lot of disposable income. Some of us who are diy-ers do it for the "junkyard wars" aspect. Credit cards are too easy. Buy a $2900.00 grow cabinet or build the same for $450.00.

I guess I'm a Wally World kind of guy...At least hydro stuff you can invent on without blowing up too much stuff.. :)
