Love the air pots. They definitely require more watering but the self pruning of the roots is a nice feature as well. I have been using the 3.5 gal for blueberry and GWS with no complaints.

Just got some 3 litre air pots this fall. I am really liking the results. I used to use square or round 1 gallon nursery pots. The air pots have fantastic drainage. The roots are always up in the air out of the drained off water. Makes flushing a breeze. The early seedling growth is definitely much faster with lots of root mass. Root mass is equal to yeild so I am hoping for some great results. You do have to water more but I think that is a plus. Soil in pots should go from wet to damp and back to wet again often. You do not want wet soil for long periods of time. You want a cycle and the more frequent the cycle the better.

wish i could make some grow beds out of that material, though i don't really get root spiraling anyway...

I should have gotten air pots but I didnt  I wasnt thinking clearly.. So i drilled holes all the way around my pots so my roots get more air...

But yea I do like air pots way more.. In my observations plants seem to have better growth

I used them and like them WAY more than regular pots, however I have not compared them to smart pots which also get great reviews.

Here is a picture of some 2 of my pots after pulling them off, and I threw one rootball in the middle with the dirt already knocked out. Its hard to tell from the pictures, but they were definitely the healthiest roots I had seen at the end of a grow.
